April 9th, 2022 Driving a rolled Land Rover out of Switzerland Trail

Saturday the 9th of April a team went up the Switzerland Trail outside of Boulder, Colorado to dead tow a rolled Land Rover out of the forest. Upon arrival and realizing it may actually start, we gave it a shot and sure enough it fired right up!
We had to top off brake fluid and coolant, but once we got it into 4-low it had enough power to make it back to the pavement for a tow truck to pick up later on this afternoon!

The good news is he has the monthly pass for car wash, so he can go get it cleaned up. Then blame the car wash facility

Amazing vehicles Land Rovers. Very hard to kill! I've owned a Range Rover since 1996, it's going to be 50 years old this year.

What jumper did you use? I have a Noco GB 40, and every time I go to jump a car they say “that’s gonna jump my car” Thing is a beast, but I might get the larger ones. If you’re looking for a compact jumper; highly recommend.

How do I get notified if needed rescue/ recoveries?

Call 911 and explain you need them to call 4x4 rescue for you. The operator may try to tell you to call a tow or the operator may not even know what 4x4 rescue is. You may need to explain to the operator how to help future callers.

Sorry guys. I understand that filming and working are often at odds and it's very difficult to get good footage while you're trying to work these recoveries but the GoPro mounted to your chest as the primary footage is unwatchable.
