He can also change his appearance at whim, and his programme has both genius and the potential for alteration (ie. significant existential ones) as time goes on - what stories are yet to be told? How will his wife find him? Will he change to suit her? Will she adapt to him? So many stories to be told!

@Eliza V the prime timeline technically is the timeline without Admiral Janeways intervention that we saw in the final episode of Voyager. Since she went back and changed the outcome all future Star Trek plots basically occur in this new timeline. Since 7 of 9 is absent in this scene and present in ST:Picard we can assume that train wreck of a show occurs in the shitty non prime universe that Voyagers meddling created. I like to think the last we saw of the "Prime" timeline was our TNG crewmembers sitting down to a poker game while the majestic Enterprise D sails off into a bright hopeful galaxy. Or maybe the Root Beer conversation between Quark and Garak. Back when Trek could be dark and edgy while at the same time being well written and compelling. The silly block styled "wings" that were adopted as the USAF symbol in 1997 still in place 23 years later, so a similar combadge 30 years later is not really a surprise.
@Locutus4944 жыл бұрын
These "future" combadges have been consistently used in many episodes of Voyager and TNG that took place in the future, and now them being in Star Trek Picard makes them actually canon, and not just a possible or alternate future. Those (God awful) uniforms were also used in several future episodes. Both the new combadges and these uniforms and the Picard uniforms are absolutely awful and ugly. They should have stuck with the DS9/VOY/TNG movies combadges and the gray & black uniforms from the later seasons of DS9 and later TNG movies. But no, Starfleet is apparently even worse than the US Army at changing uniforms every couple of years... 🙄

It's always amazing how fast kids grow up in Star Trek. I mean at least Alexander has the excuse of being part Klingon to explain how the hell he's an angsty teen serving aboard a Bird of Prey _at the chronological age of 8,_ but there's gotta be something _real_ funky in O'Brien DNA to explain how Molly went from baby to toddler so quickly. Something even beyond how inbred us Irish are, to be sure to be sure.
@sparshjohri11093 жыл бұрын
I mean, she was born in the sixth season of TNG, O'Brien moved to DS9 at around the seventh season of TNG, and they only really started showing Molly a few years into DS9. So it's not really too inconsistent to show her as a toddler. I really disliked what they did with Alexander though. His whole arc in TNG was not wanting to be a warrior, and then they just threw it away.
