Thank you so much, Gail. Best wishes for your husband and his medical recovery. Thank you for your detailed information. I forgot about the 9mm on the L890. Oh no. I should have invested in that one right away. I think I will order it after I finish my course and payments. I have 2 daughters. They store so much in my spare room! When it will go, hopefully, in a few months, I will have room. In the meantime, I love all you do. Also, thank you So Much for your love and blessings for our Israel.

@@GailPatriceDesign which added feet do you suggest to get? What isn't included? I read about the binding foot, edge foot, ...I am watching now KZbin video with Sylvain talking about the feet. I will let you know...
@GailPatriceDesign15 күн бұрын
@@angelaschapiro4268 The presser feet included when you purchase the L890 are the Standard (C11) and cover/chainstitch (C13). The feet I use most often are the C16L Piping foot (for zipper insertion on bags), the double fold binder, the clear standard foot (C27) Clear curve foot (C23) and the cording foot (for wire edge ribbon). You can also add the 25mm hemmer and belt loop folders when they become available (around December). You will also need the accessory attachment holder for the binders, folder, etc. Take a look at bernina.com for other accessories for the L890. Hope that helps and thanks!

Gail, I love your informative videos. I have a Bernina B590 with Embroidery Module. So far, I sewed clothes, a quilt & a blanket. My first choice was the B475QE, but I don't like to be limited! So I am happy with the choice. As well, the B590 is easier to carry than the newer modules. My last payment is this month, and I used savings to buy the Bernette B68 Serger Coverstitch Combo. I am very happy and you have experience. Is it just like the L890? Can I learn with the B68 using your videos? Is it worth getting the L890 and giving my daughter the B68? I bought the B68 because, at the time, I wanted a serger without without high payments on 2 machines. I am a Montrealer living in Israel, and this year has been very stressful. I started to relearn to sew clothes without patterns. I took one beginner course using special rulers and the advanced course starts next month.
@GailPatriceDesign15 күн бұрын
@@angelaschapiro4268 hi Angela, my heart goes out to everyone in Israel. We see and read the news daily and I can’t begin to imagine how stressful it is. Sewing is therapeutic and can take your mind away from troubles (at least temporarily). The b68 serger is wonderful. The stitch quality is excellent. Yes, you can learn techniques from my videos and adapt them to your serger. Your settings will vary as they do from one model to another. Making a notebook to keep track of settings that give beautiful results is helpful. The L890 has a maximum 9mm wide overlock stitch unlike the b68 . It is a fantastic combo serger with built-in videos to help you. I think it’s the best serger I’ve ever used and I’ve worked on every brand. The DC motor makes it powerful. The price is higher and you have to be comfortable with in your budget. If you have a dealer where you can “test drive” it, that will help you decide. But whatever you do, I’ll always be happy to answer questions on any machine. Please stay safe and keep me updated on your decision, projects and progress. Please know that you are in our thoughts daily.🙏🏻♥️

Hi Gail, from your combined thread in one looper do the combined threads go through the same tension slot or disc at the beginning?
@GailPatriceDesign7 ай бұрын
Yes, multiple threads are threaded simultaneously through the designated tension disk. The thread cradle makes it possible to get multiple threads through the eye of the looper together also. Thanks!

I have a Baby lock evolve BLE8W I do not see any type of bypass guides. Do you know what I would do on this machine?
@GailPatriceDesign7 ай бұрын
Even without the bypass brackets, you can probably put (2) 12-wt. threads through one looper successfully. Not sure about (2) 8-wt. threads in 1 looper, but you can try it. If your Evolve sounds like it's straining, then lighten the thread load. Let me know if you need more info and thanks for watching!
