I’m a bass player so I follow the bottom end but, I will say that the different tones from the 3 of them add a noticeable thickness of tone when combined. Very nice Bass playing and bubbly tone in this song.

These guys were great to see live because of the trade offs they'd do with the three guitars. This was maybe the most underrated band of that era. The vocals, harmonies, bass, drums, and the guitars were always fantastic.

Imho there are no crappy rock/ metal bands that come out of Canada. From The Guess Who to Kataklysm and everything in between, Canada is a gold mine of awesome music.

Good choice. April wine has an assload of fantastic songs that were huge radio hits in Canada and are still hot players on classic rock radio. like JUST BETWEEN YOU AND ME, OOWATANITE, COULD HAVE BEEN A LADY, ROCK N' ROLL IS A VICIOUS GAME, SAY HELLO, LIKE A LOVER LIKE A SONG. I WOULDN'T WANT TO LOOSE YOUR LOVE, YOU WON'T DANCE WITH ME, COMIN' RIGHT DOWN ON TOP OF ME. enjoy dude.

The guitarists were Myles Goodwyn (the lead singer), Brian Greenway, and Gary Moffett. Bass at this time was Steve Lang. The drummer was Jerry Mercer. They were huge in Canada in the 70s and managed a few hits in the us.

Dual and triple lead guitars are very rare. Except in Southern rock and long jam bands. The Allman Brothers, the Outlaws, and Thin Lizzy were masters of this. Back about in 1978, Thin Lizzy in some of their live concerts had 4 lead guitars.. also, 2 drummers are common in long jam bands. Duane Allman from the Allman Brothers was asked once: "why do you need 2 drummers? He responded by saying, James Brown had 2 drummers!"

You've got a four guitar harmony here giving depth to the song. Each guitar has its special part to play. This is great music for Las Vegas because that is what it is about.

Canadiens that had been around for awhile before The Stones took them on tour (around the time of this album) , then they blew up for a few years. Good band that def had a "sweet spot" to their career around this time. Sign of the Gypsy Queen is my pick for their best song.

You may want to be the first (or one of the first), to sample TROOPER, another great Canadian rock band from that era. TWO FOR THE SHOW and PRETTY LADY are 2 of my favorites, but there are plenty of other classic rock radio Trooper hits for you to mine. Cheers.
