motorcycles aren't all play, in most of the world they are employed as workhorses and needed for the mundane, rain or shine, hum-drum tedium of daily living and I can imagine scores of people that will appreciate this bike. Well done Aprilia. couriers, 'genuine' commuters, living in a big city-don't want/need the expense of a car types would be pleased to have this option.

@roscoau All other auto bikes are based on the CVT system just like the Honda Pilot SUV.

They are fixed and therefore don't allow you to keep the engine in maximun torque rpm when you want efficiency nor in maximum power rpm when you want speed, a CVT does. Also the engine has zero efficiency whenever the clutch isn't fully engaged, which happens every time you shift gears on a normal gearbox, but never on a CVT once you start moving. The end result is more fuel efficiency AND more performance.
