My highschool music teacher: A quarter note is half the length of the whole note divided by two, which if you divide it by 18, times 9, it becomes half note, then take a factorial of f(x) where x equals to 4 it becomes something else entirely with you will absolutely need to learn and will come out in the test which will determine your entire future from now on which actually won't matter in one million years ahead. it gave me PTSD on musical lesson, but somehow April's explanation is kinda easy to understand...

This one lesson has singlehandedly changed the way I understand music. Thank you so much! The concept of tapping the table makes it so easy to read and write music, i couldn't find any better explanation on how to read notes. Now on to the other lessons and I'm ready to write down my favourite music by ear. I can't be more grateful

Any tips for being able to play two distant tines at the same time on either side of the kalimba like you did in river flows in you? I find it difficult to let my other thumb pluck the tine on the left side. :(
@AprilYang6 жыл бұрын
You need to keep a 2-3mm thumb nail, that will help you use your thumb play the keys on the other side.
@saniinisan6 жыл бұрын
@@AprilYang i have 3mm nails. But whenever I reach to the other side, my thumb's side gets on the way. So I could't reach it. Example, plucking E and F at the left side using both thumbs.
@AprilYang6 жыл бұрын
@@saniinisan When your right thumb needs to play the F on left, the right hand needs to be detached a little from the body of kalimba.
