Don't usually use this phrase to describe someone...but you Sir, are a God. I've been watching your videos since March of last year and my grades have increased from an E to an A. I have my exam on Tuesday next week and every time that I panic about something, your videos are very reassuring. I'll keep watching these videos after my exams, just because of the quality of the explanation. Good Work! A*

Hey - I’m kind of confused on 9:43 as when I did the question I converted the temperature change to Kelvin as that is the appropriate unit but you didn’t so I’m wondering if I’m wrong ??
@niravsharma303 жыл бұрын
It makes no difference as 23°C to 57°C has a temperature change of 34°C and their equivalents in Kelvin are 296K to 330k, which has a temperature change of 34K.

@@user-xe2vk2xe9g To be honest, for Chemistry, I primarily just kept watching videos like this guy, Eliot Rintoul, etc. I did buy the CGP book for AQA Chemistry but didn’t really use it all that much compared to the kerboodle student book for Chemistry. I mainly just read from the book, and practiced a LOT of questions. I think questions really zone in what the spec requires you to know so doing as much questions as possible will hone your knowledge and you’ll see massive improvement with a LOT of practice I can assure you.

I have a question, you said the temperature is measured in Kelvin but you didn't convert it in the example at 9:40 Thank you
@charliejay56574 жыл бұрын
The change in temp will be the same. The difference between 25C and 20C is 5 If you change that to K then you get 298-293 which equals 5.. therefore making the difference the same
@etashshaikh73582 жыл бұрын
I don't think you have mentioned the exact definitions of enthalpy change of formation and combustion
@saalminahmed9 ай бұрын
In the calorimetry section for the example question why wouldn't add 273 to 34 since the unit for temperature change is K.
@samanana-vb6sr8 ай бұрын
It’s Tempreture change, even if you converted it into kelvin the Tempreture change will still be the same, it’s like if you got given 2 tempretures 35degrees and 50 degrees and added 273 onto both, the Tempreture change will still be the same
@jamilahussein-c5x Жыл бұрын
Hi this question may be a bit dumb but I was just wondering if you could explain why q is negative at 13:45?
@jenniferahaotu9671 Жыл бұрын
because there is a temperature increase so the reaction is exothermic and exothermic reactions have -ve enthalpy change
@EMB-on9pb Жыл бұрын
How come you didn’t change the temp to kelvin when calculating the change in energy @9:38
@mariejay209610 ай бұрын
this is probably irrelevant to you now but temp difference in celsius will still result in the same temp difference in kelvin regardless of conversion
