I recently received my Homey pro. I was convinced because of this video, that it would work with aqara. I like their stuff for budget reasons and design. I went for their H1 switch. Unfortunately it has a bug with homey that it turns off automatically after a few minutes. On the developers forum I see few have the same problem. I'll try to add as just zigbee device, the way you mentioned here in another comment.

Hey Gilbert, welcome to the Homey family! :) Really sorry to hear that H1 switch from Aqara is not working as it's supposed to. The H1 series is still relatively new to the market, and I do believe the developer is aware & working on updates to solve this.
@gilbertknegt64193 жыл бұрын
@@homey yes I guess I'll have to wait. Adding the H1 as just zigbee worked, but when I created a flow with it, it's not doing anything when I press the switch. I'll check for an older version switch meanwhile..

I’m about to make my new flat a smart home and I’m considering Homey. I’m looking for a way to have smart lighting in my home controled by smart wall switches in detached/smart bulb mode so they run automations without ever cutting power to the bulbs. From what I gathered Aquara H1 does have detached mode but unfortunately it’s not currently supported via Homey. Is this going to change? Are there any alternatives? I heard Inovelli switches have this feature too, does that work with Homey?
@gilbertknegt64197 ай бұрын
@@paveldundr6390 its been a while by now and after updates, they work fine now. I'm not sure about a detached 'mode' but you can just program anything to the switch with Homey. So some lights I control detached, and some are attached (for the ones that don't have a smart bulb).

Great video (as always!). Can you do a video on Aqara Opple Wall Switch as well? I found it to be 1000% more reliable than the Aqara Button. Keep the video's coming :)

Thanks for the tip, I haven't seen those before, it is definitely good to take with for future videos. I'll see if we can get our hands on one, looks like they are not that widely available in Europe just yet.

I realize I am pretty off topic but do anyone know a good site to watch new tv shows online?

Hi, sorry for my poor english i am french. Ty for thoses vidéos, it's really a good demonstration. I am happy to see that we don't need an internet connection or cloud to make those devices works together. I have just one question, i found the actions was slowly. The time necessary between the moment you press the button and the moment the light switch on was more than one second, is that normal ? Would it be more quicky if it was Z-wave device ? Ty again
@homey3 жыл бұрын
Hey Fab, depending on your device type, network build up etc. can all affect the time an action or activity is received by the device. It is hard to determine what would improve or not improve the speed of an action.

Like your videos, I am getting Homey soon. I have xiaomi products at home. Actually they work terrible with mi hub. Hope Homey makes it better. And the wall swith si great with functionality but poor quality build is worrying. The most used one in my bathroom broke after half a year. (The inside is cheap plastic that degrades with many pushes and breakes) :(
@homey3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing that info! I have been using my wall switches for almost a year now, and they have held up well. Perhaps it was due to higher humidity levels in the bathroom? Definitely good to know though. From my experience, the Aqara Xiaomi devices are working great with Homey, good stability and reaction times. ;) The recent v5.0 update on Homey also helped improve Zigbee connections a huge amount, so you'll be getting Homey at just the right time. 😌

@@homey I had hoped that v5 would improve the Aqara Motion Sensor's reliability, but unfortunately no. Even renewed pairing, installing at 2m distance from Homey, 1m distance from the nearest routing device, route via that particular device, and still, after a few hours, no more updates from the motion sensor. No Movement, no temperature updates, nothing. Going back to Fibaro for motion sensing.
@homey3 жыл бұрын
@@the-digital-architect Sorry to hear your having such troubles with it. I have been using their motion sensor too, and although the range / sensitivity is not as good as that from Fibaro, the stability hasn't been an issue for me. Are you sure that your App is up to date? I recommend this one: homey.app/a/com.xiaomi-mi

Hey Henri, No aqara hub is needed! These devices connect directly to Homey. :)

@@homey tnx for the answer! Thats a nice USP
@homey3 жыл бұрын
@@henrischoltesofficial It's the case for many similar brand hubs! So most brands with a Z-Wave or Zigbee line of devices, have a hub which is required for those devices... Eg. Ikea, Fibaro, Aqara, and many more. Homey acts as a universal hub for these devices to connect with directly. Saving time, money, and making it easy to use all on one platform! :)

My HOMEY has areived and I have tried all of my ciaomi products. Unfortunatelly, out of more than 20 devices I cannot pair xiaomi wireless single switch through the app. And it does not support xiaomi bedside lamp, taht I have :( Otherwise worka great Regarding other devices, my new samsung tv is not supported. Hopefully it will be soon . I will try more products from other companies in summer, when I move to my new flat. (Phillips hue, fibaro product and much more.)
@homey3 жыл бұрын
Happy to hear that you're now part of the Homey community :). The Xiaomi wireless single switch should work, remember to hold the device close to Homey while pairing. Another tip can be to try and connect it as a standard Zigbee device. To do this, head to the devices > plus in the top right > select 'Homey' > Zigbee > put device into pairing mode and tap connect. This may be able to pick up the device and help connect it! We are always looking for new devices to add to Homey, for your TV and bedside lamp, please feel free to use this quick form to make device requests: forms.gle/yuMuSyM6EFAJ1Anj6. That way we know more information on the specifics and can see if we can get these devices integrated.

Once you've got the brains (Homey), you've got the freedom to choose from more budget friendly smart home gear. Often the initial cost of Homey is offset by the money you save on various individual smart home hubs, like the IKEA Tradfri hub or Aqara's hub etc...
