Aqours' Perfect Farewell: Eikyuu Hours Explained

Some details about the costumes and outfits I wanted to add (couldn’t see them well before through all my tears!): - the costume accents are different by member and are divided by attribute: cool girls have accents on the right of their torso, pure girls on the left, and smile across the middle of their chest. - for the casual outfits, most are either based around or allude to each member’s image color. - both outfits are aged-up and school uniforms are gone now to reflect Aqours’ status as the senpais of love live, as well as show respect for them as mature adult women. The uniforms have been used less and less over time, and completely abandoning for this video was certainly intentional - finally in case you didn’t notice, the pattern on the dresses represents the night sky over the ocean

This was a great video, but I do want to stress to everyone that Aqours is not disbanding. This is their finale live as a 9-member group, not their FINAL live forever. Several members of the group are on record saying they are not disbanding. We may still see new music from them in the future yet. Plus members will continue to appear and perform. They are already booked at the 2025 Numazu Jimo-Ai concert for example. This is the end of their 9-member concerts together, but we may even see them appear as 9 again (for example if there was another love live fes, or another unit koshien ((provided Kinchan could perform)). They’re definitely changing how the group operates and it is the end of an era in a very heartbreaking way, but Aqours isn’t going anywhere for now at least.

To clarify, it's their last one man 9 member live. Which leaves open the possibilities of all 9 performing and/or appearing in other things like a Love Live Fes or the aforementioned Numazu Jimo-Ai Festival . And of course the sub units are also available to do things. This was mentioned at the finale announcement (last one man live with all 9 members) and further reinforced by statements made since then by the members. An-chan's part in the song nearly makes me cry every time and I know I'll be a mess when they do this for the actual concert.

And a little fact about the melody of the song. The melody of the first chorus resembles Kimo no Kokoro wa Kagayaiteru Kai? (Aqours' first single/S2EP3 insert song), while the second chorus bears a resemblance to 'Aozora Jumping Heart' (Love Live Sunshine Season 1 Opening song). Chika's solo also reminds me of Kiminokokoro, except without Riko. *I can tell that Anchan (Chika's VA) tried VERY hard not to break down in tears during her solo because we can hear a slight crack in her voice at the end of the second 'oikaketa'.*

About the beach and the bay, I remember someone saying when the Dreamy Color MV came out that they filmed at a more secluded beach (because that one is right by the main road iirc) to avoid media attention/a more controlled filming environment. The same reasoning probably applies to this MV as well.

The video itself is awesome. Just for extra data: Ashitaka is the home stadium of Azul Claro Numazu, a soccer team in the J3 League, the third tier in Japan soccer. Kinchan, Arisa, Rikako, Aikyan, Ainya and especially Shuka has been in some matches of the team. The club itself sells merchandise of Aqours using the team uniform.

Through the way you speak as well as your emotional voice, I confirm that you have a love for the seaside for Aqours, I really respect you. I feel happy and deeply grateful that Aqours is a part of my youth and my life. Aqours' presence as well as their energetic music has saved and lit up my soul in times of need. the most difficult time in life, and I believe that many fans around the world have similar feelings. Aqours has gone through all kinds of hardships and challenges over the past 9 years, our little girls had a start filled with criticism and comparison, but now they are one of The most successful 2.5D idol groups in history based on their achievements. Their journey is certainly one of the greatest legacies that Love Live has ever had, worthy of "Wonderful Stories". Also adding my personal view when I knew the succesorship of Emitsun has been passed down to Anchan, I forgot which show but when Aquors asked "which member worked the hardest" everybody *expect furirin/ruby being bestie to Kin-chan/Hanamaru* says "Anchan". But like a true leader, she says "Everybody" worked their best effort. That is.....when I mentally kneel knew it fully that leader status has been passed to her🙇‍♂️🥹
