Not at first paddle. We did a bunch of surfing and playing and it seemed solid.

Paddles need to have a buoyancy spec. How helpful is the buoyancy in setting up rolls?

Thanks for checking the video and the question. It is pretty standard as far as flotation goes for roll setups. Not as good as a foam core but as good as any other laminate fibreglass or carbon paddles.
