If I'm not mistaken I believe the item you wanted us to guess at , is the dividers for an old aluminum Ice tray my mother used that typ. I could be wrong but I think that's what that was . Thanks Chigg

I'm pretty positive it is the divider from an ice tray. We had one forever when I was a kid. When the divider finally wore out, my parents kept the tray and used an ice pick to get the ice out.

I loved that ice tray! I was very very young when we had one of those and it was either my grandmother or my mother, that would say, DON'T FORCE IT! She would take it to the sink and run water over the bottom and top of the tray for a few seconds then grab the handle and "POP" cubes! Thanks for the memory!

Thank you Chigg for another investigative adventure. The mystery find was part of an ice cube trey. This property reminds me of where I grew up with my uncle on a tenant farm. The house sat on hard scrabble and, behind the smoke house a garden and trash pile. There were hundreds of Prince Albert tobacco cans. I’d use them to hold worms and crickets for fishing, target practice with my little 22, build toy forts and all kinds of things. Your right, it was a different time. I’m glad for what I’ve got today but I miss the old people and their ways.
@jasonhuntley9927 Жыл бұрын
I enjoyed the little moment where you sneezed and both your camera and detector jolted. I also liked the moment where you congratulated yourself for identifying the garden. I had just come to the same conclusion, and the very next scene you were standing next to the functioning garden I laughed out loud. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride! ❤

Man i really enjoy these longer videos. I've dug up a few pets myself, a bunch of real old dog tags. Now whenever i go onto a property that is one of the first things i ask, not everyone knows the history of the and though so sometimes it just happens. This property sure looks like a fun one, it's huge, you could hunt it for years. Thanks for keeping me motivated Chigg.

Around here in NE Iowa they put cisterns uphill from the home. A windmill setting above them keeps them filled. The Cistern then gravity feeds the homestead. Check to see if there is a well hole and pipe in the bottom of it. Good luck, happy hunting and take care. ✌️

That is one of the most scenic parts of the U.S. In fact, if I were to move somewhere, the Shenandoah would be the place. It has great scenery, small mountains, rolling hills, and terrific summers that don't get too hot, per the constant breezes coming down through the valley. It's gets just enough snow for beauty, but doesn't pile up and stay like further north. And while it can have cold winters, the days typically moderate to being relatively comfortable if it's not too windy. Has glorious falls and crisp springs.

Here's an old tip you may or may not know. I was living on a hippie farm back in the 1970's in Virginia. To make some cash we would go to old, abandoned farms looking for old bottles to sell. Here's the trick: From the back door of the house throw a bottle out into the field or woods as far as you think a housewife would throw it as trash and make an arc and then search in the arc. That is where their dump is and always yielded us the best and oldest bottles.

Whenever I hear Shenandoah I hear the song O Shenandoah. A beloved LDS and Oregon Trail song, full of longing love and pathos. I don't know why but that song has always made me cry, I love that song. I don't know why that song makes me cry. Probably ancestral memory, somebody who left home and had to cross the continent. I am becoming attached to this valley through your videos ! " Away... we're bound away.... cross the wide .. Missouri. " (River.) If things go right, I am going to get out of here and be able to move and live right alongside...the wide...Missouri.(River.) Second only in romance and beauty to the Shenandoah.
