I found a class ring while flipping a house. Easily found the guy on FB, but apparently he didn't want it because I offered to meet up with him on 3 separate occasions and he stood me up each time. Basically wasted my time, telling me he'd be there and each time he didn't show, he wouldn't respond to let me know he wasn't coming. So the 3rd time he didn't show, I left the ring under the edge of a parking block at a coffee shop parking lot and told him where he could find it. About 4 months later, I was passing by that shop and out of curiosity, I stopped to see if it was still there. It was and it is probably still there 3 years later. I tried.

Wow Aquachigger, you could start a sun glasses stand along that creek. I was glad to see a huge fish didn't take that lurer and your hand with it, be careful! I do metal detecting as well and I think the greatest finds are those you can return to their owners. Especially those dear things precious to them. A friend of mine found a school ring from the 30s about 15 years ago with a name inside. He contacted the school and they found the student in their records. He was able to make contact with the person through the school and the woman had lost it shortly after her graduation. He returned it to her personally and she cried with happiness. Cool! You know, I wouldn't be surprised if your next vid was from an aqualung deep in a lake or ocean. But remember, Hold Your Breath! Thanks Much and a Great New Year with lots of great finds! Peace! @bigoldavey5 жыл бұрын
This section of river he hunts is not on or through a state park. It's swift and would probably b dangerous top try to bag trash and get it out of the current without it taking you down. I think its great that you try to find the owners of lost money....I hope they offered a reward since you invested so much time or at least say thanks for you returning it. I once found a 14k class ring with clear initials inside and it was from a local high school. It was however, very old like from the early 70's. I called the high school anyway and was directed to the Alumni Assoc. I spoke with someone who was willing to send me a class list from that year. It was a large school and I did find the initials that matched the ring but it was the wrong graduation year. I asked the school if there was another way to try and find the owner. She said no but would keep my name, just in case. I held on to the ring for about 3 years but no one ever called me back. I took it to a jewelry store and they weighed it. It turned out to be quite valuable. They gave me 450.00! I shared this because if you are not able to connect with the owner of the class ring you found and you feel like hanging on to it, that's good but I would not feel bad about selling it, if no one comes forward. I worked for an Assisted Living Facility a few years ago and we found a lot of rings, daily. We would keep them for a long time, then donate most of them to a poor community in great need. I oversaw quite a lot of cash and items that people had placed in safe keeping with us. Some of these residents passed away and never told family members about the items we were keeping for them. I felt really bad about this and wanted to see if I could contact a family member. I asked my boss who said we can't do that because it would make us look bad. I found several expensive rings that we were stilling holding for someone who had died 8 years ago. No one was ever going to claim them because they didn't know anything about the rings. My boss did allow me to take them to the department who handled the donations so they got put to good use. Its always the best and right thing to do, in trying to connect with an owner but when that fails, I decided not to feel guilty about selling. Your videos are really great!

I would love to see you do a video showing your entire collection (if you even keep them) of fishing lures/ sunglasses and of course coins and jewelry.
