Did the phone turn on? Curious because I have one of those phone bags. I only ever expect it to keep the contents dry in a heavy downpour, but it would be interesting to know if they work being submerged- the company that makes them doesn’t claim that they do btw.

I use a string tied to a weight and a float for markers on the river treasure that I pass. You can just huck them and return to the spot

Company in New York called Mokai. They’ve moved away from making Chigg’s type of dump truck kayak to a more sport type, with electronics that don’t handle water well. You can buy used older ones if you search hard enough.

You can get those full face masks with snorkels these days, no mouth piece as it covers your entire face. Worth trying out if you're keen to snorkel but tooth is a constant source of pain!
