Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Movie Review! Aquaman 2 marks the final film in the DCEU. A franchise that has had many ups and downs over the years. Aquaman 2 seems like an appropriate fizzle out to the random WB decisions made in the 10 year run. Jason Mamoa seems comfortable in the role as Aquaman but he also appears a bit out of sorts, all the same. The same can be said about the movie.

I loved Aquaman 2....It has alot of great action sequences and positive themes regarding family and fatherhood...I would definitely watch again.

Agreed. It was a decent movie. It wasn't terrible. Even Amber Heard did her thing. It was a good closer to the DCEU. Gunn's DCEU is going make people begging to bring back Zack and Cavill.

What? It's not just Amber. IT'S THE STUDIO. Studios fired Johnny without a verdict, unfairly. Yet keep Amber when she is shown guilty. They had plenty of time to replace her.

Yeah, Adam has a giant blind spot for certain things and that’s fine. I enjoy reviews that leave out the off camera drama. He doesn’t want that on his channel, yet he still finds a way to mention it. Either ignore it, talk about it, but the half @ss approach is probably the worst.

No the studio fired Depp because HE LOST A CASE TO UK COURT ABOUT BEING A WOMAN BEATER. That's when Depp lost his roles. Then he decided to go after Amber and social media gets involved. There were literally fake bot accounts making up misinformation about amber heard. Johnny Depp lost out on a Harry Potter role because he lost a court case. Simple as that.

I thought it was a fun movie. Not terrific, but an exciting ride. Momoa & Wilson were good together. Same with Momoa & Morrison. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was cool as well.

Great review Adam! I personally liked this one better than the first, and the fact that my man Martin Short was in this was incredible! I haven’t liked the last few dc films, but I was really impressed with this. The dark trident gave him most of the crew and the ship. I loved it. Keep up the great work Adam!

The problem with separating amber from the film is the hypocrisy of wb immediately ending Depps career over night but allowing her to stay. No one cares about all of those involved in a film that might be an a*****e the difference here is how wb treated Depp vs Amber.

That's according to her therapy notes so not sure how true is it...after all in her therapy notes she said jason momoa and james wan used to TORMENT and abuser her on set..but in the trial her EXPERT witness Kathryn Arnold testified and clown lawyer said jason momoa saved her roles, not Elon.

Since this was the last movie for the DCEU they should have just gone all in . They should have had the ultimate crossover Captain Planet and Aqua-man saving the environment . If Captain Planet was in the film I would have gone to the theater just for that haha. The IP is owned by WB so it would have been possible ! Haha !

The only DCEU movies that I really like a lot are both Shazam movies. The rest are.... Meh. The entire franchise really has a knack for turning a good character arc into a boring and forgettable movie, it's actually quite impressive.

Your review is pretty spot-on. For a strange reason, I was a bit sleepy going into the theater, and for the first 15 mins or so, I kept severely nodding-off. I almost thought i was going to have to leave; I'm glad I stayed. Great IMAX 3D presentation. It's all quite bonkers, but so was the first film, which I loved. I'm surprised at how enjoyable Patrick Wilson was to watch. He really stole the show, as the far more likable brother, but he worked well with Mamoa. You are correct about Mamoa's strange Dad-bod...but Wilson didn't look too athletic in this, either. And there was a weird underwater scene with Nicole Kidnan (when they were standing around the table making plans), where she didn't even look like herself; like she was suddenly 10 years older than she looked in all the rest of the movie. A lot of Mamoa and Wilson's buddy adventure felt a little like a 2-player videogame, especially when they were infiltrating the volcano. This sounds 'bad', but it actually made it fun.

At this point no body cares not even Warner Bros. The studio didn't even have a red carpet. Hell, the review embargo wasn't lifted until yesterday. I expect The Lost Kingdom to be released on streaming in a couple of weeks. I still like this franchise though...oh well c'est la vie.

For me i found this movie entertaining nothing big or amazing! but had a fun time in the cinema, i felt like Aquaman himself was way too goofy for me personally but its fine, and yeah the CGI oh god wasn't great at times, the only time was laughing in the cinema wasn't because of the attempted humor in this movie no it was the bad CGI. Great Review!

If they really care about assault victims, and want to be advocates, why do they support actors like Josh Brolin, and the actor that plays Homelander in the Boys. Both arrested for assault. Mel Gibson is pretty terrible also but they still support him. It's fake outrage.

I don't plan on seeing this film. I hate super heroes and only see about 10% of these things for a superficial eye candy experience and only saw the first Aquaman and it had sharks with frickin' lasers on their frickin' heads and a giant octopus playing the drums and so I'll skip A2, thanks and I only watched your video, Adam, because you're far more entertaining than the films you're reviewing...

I don't know what to say at this point. I'll say this first, what I'm about to say herein I'm going to say the same thing to Jeremy Johns and Grace Randal because they pretty much said the same things you said about this sequel. I went and saw it last night and I gotta say I pretty much enjoyed it all through out. I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to watch it again. It held up to me. I will say the humor was stretched to the limit but there was some good funny stuff there that had me cracking up in the theater- dude running like a fish killed me! I didn't have a problem with the plot, the acting or the CG, I don't even think Amber was even as bad as all of you so called critics made her seem. (Her CG was pretty bad tho but i didn't really care). Everything was effective and I had a good time. I think it was a smooth following up of the first one.

I didn't like the first Aquaman either, but I agree that there were some cool moments. Loved the trench scene and that fight in the beginning with Nicole Kidman. And it gave us a giant octopus playing the drums!

It's actually the opposite. I have had the same stance on actors/companies/etc since day one. I would love to know if these people boycotting WB movies because of Amber Heard are also avoiding any films produced by Harvey Weinstein or the countless examples of other actors/producers/directors/studios.
