So they are absolutely referencing Celtic mythology in the story. One of the classic enemies of the Tuatha de Danaan were the Fomorians, which were referenced to as "sea people" in some stories which some interpret as them being IN the sea, not just, like, sailors or something. But the CHARACTERS are funny because the names I'm catching would seem to represent the Tuatha de Danaan, the NOT sea people. Silverhand is absolutely a reference to a Celtic King. His story is even more batshit, as he was a great hero who was DENIED the throne because of losing a hand in combat, and the King must have a "perfect form". He was gifted his silver hand by the Fae which allowed him to assume the throne.

Aquaman lore is fun, I always like learning more about it. Also, every dive set-up I've dove with has had two regulator mouthpieces - there's a backup in case something goes wrong with the first and you need it, or if your dive partner's equipment is compromised and they need to use your air to get to safety.

If there was ever another Aquaman story covered I think it should be the Rebirth story where Atlantis is locked out from the world in a shield, Aquaman becomes a freedom fighter and Mera joins the JL and tries to get the shield open from the outside. Oh and it has art from the creator of Harleen.

Nuada pronounced " new- ada" was Prince of the tuatha de danan ( i think and I think thats how it's spelled) who later became the fae, and later fairies. The firbold could be pronounced a lot of ways but fair bolg is common and it translates from gaelic as "men of bags". In the book of invasions the men of bags are settlers in Ireland that bring good soil in bags to the island. The tuatha de danan were Celtic gods that's why there was a Celtic cross on the door... I think they went into the underworld basically and humans kept the surface, as far as I know it wasn't under da sea. At least that's what I remember

He (aquaman) has far more respect than he once had, but they need to find a way to make him more prominent! One way is to print more stories of other aquatic characters (both hero and villain) so his world seems larger and more important, with a fair amount of them not having to do with Aquaman. More diverse rogue gallery characters should be used to fight their nemesis' so it isn't always (black manta) the same advisary, and of course more supporting characters need to be created around heroes and villains (these would be built as stories are told) and some of them may even get stories from tiem to time.
