Love them! We have 5 of them. I have had a temp probe fail on me. The good news is you can replace just the probe. I did it and it worked great!

I learned the horribly hard way! Last week I lost 30 fish in a 55 gallon tank due to a digital Chinese heater shorting out, cooked my fish😢. I replaced the heater with a Fluval and added a 306a controller. I hope no one else has to go through that loss!

About 4 years ago my heater failed and overheated my fish and they died I was devastated it's taken me this long to start over again and I just bought the ink bird Wi-Fi but I didn't know how to use it so thank you so much for the explanation

Definitely a must have I have 15 of them. But just make sure you make sure it’s calibrated. I noticed my discus acting weird put my hand in the water and it was at 95 when the InkBird say 83. Calibrated it’s and back to normal.

Luckily discus took it! Deffintly agree with the 3 degrees heater difference!

Picked up some azoo controllers from Chris with these 173s. Its way overdue. Ive been replacing heaters every year, the fluval e series and theyre not cheap but im scared theyre gonna run full bore one day and im not gonna catch it or vice versa. The azoo's dont have wifi/bluetooth but theyre bullet proof. They dont use Fahrenheit though only Celsius but thats no big deal. Enjoy your videos youre doing a great job

Do you use an inkbird for each of your heaters in all 9 tanks? Or do you have it seperated somehow?

Some are wifi.. Costs more.. But is it needed ? No. Unless youre a breeder or store and are there.. Unlike my BBQ.. I need to know NOW

Does this controller pair with 5G wifi? I returned a different Inkbird model that would only pair using 2.4 G wifi.
