Against Planaria, an "insider tip" in germany is to use "Panacur" from the vet. It is usually used for dogs and cats, but can be bought as a salve and should be doses 1mg per Liter once, then a big waterchange after 7 days and another dose + big waterchange after a week. A lot of snails don't survive this, but the planaria is gone. BIg plus: It is hellish cheap. I used one 250mg pill that i ground up and used the powder - that was like $1 or so and is good for 125 Liters of water

I know you said everything is down, i hope you guys can open safely. An idea for a video would be like a mini video series; short like 2 mins each, of plants you have for sale Lighting, feeding and fish that would go good with them. How to trim. Really easy. Again like 2-3 min video but I know people are home and bored so like me, probably starting planted tanks and just binging on resources! Stay safe!

Am relatively new to the aquarium hobby and have an observation and some other comments. One of the things I noticed, in the aquarium hobby, is that there are many nice "surprises" at times. The spawned Fancy Goldfish is another example. Seen your magnetic cleaner in the back of the tank with the added internal cleaning pad. I do the same thing, but with a piece of fine poly pad. Also, am thinking of adding a sponge filter to my 55 gallon tank for additional filtration/circulation, along with my existing HOB. Good to see your sponge filter in action as an example. All the best.🙂

What do you mean turn an aerator into a pond? How is that possible?
@daltonvickersjr94414 жыл бұрын
@@ericrouleau3987 it is already a big aerated pond. Just nothing in it. It is a big block structure we built to aerate sulphur water. We now have a better system. With a little added plumbing it is a pond. We live on the river. We use it to put fish in that we catch now to clean them out a little for a few days before we clean them to eat. Gets rid of some of the sandy and muddy taste. I am just going to set it up to keep fish in for long term

The green water might be the other phase of the marimo moss balls that is free floating & single celled rather the betta ball we're used to. Maybe try using the light for tubs with big plants & no moss balls or moss bridges

Hello! Been listening to youir videos with a lot of interest, so much so, I have subscribed to your channel. One video in particular took my attention, as it probably has with a lot of folk out there is the realization which most fish do not need as high as temperatures as they might think. As I myself didn't really know this, until I listened to your video and like many others, panicked when ever my heating would drop below a certain temperature and I've been in the fishkeeping business for over 20 years. I never bothered to research the temperature of the waters in these tropical countries where the fish do originate from. So for me, I won't be panicking so much now if my temperature does drop, and I have reset my temperature to be more dynamic. Nice channel, thanks!

Plants that are floating away from the light. Here is an idea. Just take some fishing line or rope... Tie it to a rock or weight and only give it enough line so it can float a little out of directly under the light... But not all the way to the edges

Oh no the goldie fry are so cute!!!!! My corydoras spawned today but the other fish ate the eggs. Happy Mother’s Day 🙊 I’m working on some albino koi swordtail fry but man they just do not want to grow up! They are so much slower growing than the bleeding heart platy fry growing out in the same tank. And the spawns are so small. But better than nothing! I think my future plan will be to work on the strain to strengthen the genes and then they to bring it back to albino koi. But I’m just an amateur hobbyist! 😅
