NEW MERCH CLICK HERE: teespring.com/en-GB/stores/md-fish-tanks 3 months ago I started this project and I'm pleased to say that it has been a huge success. I've done very little work to the whole setup apart from a few trim sessions. We have had zero water changes since the initial couple of start-up ones in the first week to ensure we didn't have excess nutrients in the water column (new wood being used). The Endler population boomed but I do think it's being kept in check by the addition of the predators now as visually, I'm not seeing the numbers continuing to increase. This tank is very fun to watch and there is always something to look at. I hope you have enjoyed the video and how everything turned out. MD....I watch because of the planting. The aqua scape/ fish care is a beautiful bonus. This one is my favorite. The stone work. The use of wood, with the creation of negative space is what I strive for in gardening. Master Gardener of 140 acre. PGA certified golf course.

MD your channel has grown beautifully, and in case you didn’t know….THANK YOU. All the hard work you put into these videos is amazing. Your helping the hobby grow and I’m just blown away how far this channel has come. You do a great job on content, editing, and you actually read and interact with the comments. You take peoples criticism (which in my opinion isn’t always spot on) and you address it or tell us why you do something differently. Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work:)

People would totally hire this guy to come into their house or business and set up one of his tanks. I'd love to have one done at my house 🤣 i purchased some plants and actually just left them floating at the top of my tank and to my surprise somehow they started spouting little plants at the bottom of the tank and i love it so much ive started getting into the hobby myself. It'll be awhile before I have a tank looking as nice as these but its a start lol

Gotta be careful using gravel from a garden centre. I had a huge GH issue with my shrimp tank substrate. There was small bits of limestone which was raising my GH over the roof. Where I live near London our water is unbelievable hard anyway so this became a issue. It was killing my shrimp off as the water was so hard their shells would end up being so tough they couldn’t break it to shred :(. Btw Great video brah, love watching your videos !!!

MD have you ever thought about getting some Copella Arnoldi's? Or thought about it to make a setting for such a fish. It would look awesome if you make a setup and put some very large plants on the sides so they can jump on the leaves when they want to spawn and lay eggs on the leaves. I had some too and they were so special.

When you clean very dirty gravel, You can stab holes in the bottom of the bag and put water in the top and shake it flip it or mush it for a great pre wash before putting it into buckets for a final cleaning its not really any more effort than rinsing.
