I would brace the center section the same as the sides... In case there is any warping of the 2x4 boards. -If they bowed even a little bit, could maybe crack the tank? or split the silicone? - with your thicker glass, maybe not.

I know this video is for two years ago but I have to say it anyway. I love this setup. it's awesome 😍 BTW you can put the Monstera roots inside aquarium just like the thing you do with Peace Lily. almost all house plants can grow in water instead of soil. right now I have a Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma living on top of my aquarium. the cool thing is it climbs the wall behind my tank and fills in the wall with it's leaves(I had to use holders with stickers on them to attach on walls to hold Raphidophora stems as they climb the wall). I also have Alocasia Red Secret and Alocasia Jacklyn in there(their bulb isn't fully in water. just the roots)

@@Dxtuh2008 Yes it is, but I don't know how good the filter is yet. I'm still in the process of setting it up but there's tons of videos out there that helped me decided to get this particular tank. @TheDonRomannn3 жыл бұрын
@@Dxtuh2008 I have had the New juwel rio 180 and now have the New juwel trigon 190L. Make sure to replace the bottom included sponges for some real biological pebbles, and the filter will do wonders. Pair it with the juwel eccoskim, and you get no oily/dirty film. Also, nobody will tell you this, but from research, the reason why some people can't get crystal clear water, is not because of the filter, it's because of the pump inside (eccoflow 600), in my opinion it is just good enough, for a small load. But when I switched it out for the eccoflow 1000 pump, the water turned crystal clear in just 5-6 hours, the flow is much stronger in and outside of the filter. It just sucks all the dirt much more quickly! The filter design it self is IMO a masterpiece. Sucking dirt from below, behind and from above! I only clean it once every 2-3 months. That's really all you need to do. Good luck! Juwel aquariums are great.. And expensive xD

I don't know if you're aware, but that monstera will grow pretty big. The leaves can get to be 4 feet wide! In addition, it has these gnarly searching fingers that grow off of the lower branch that can get very long (and quite ugly). It's a climbing plant that holds onto whatever the fingers can get hold of. They will also likely grow into the top of your tank into the water, just so you know. But, the plant is very beautiful. So is your aquarium!
