the natural bio types are a good way for the hobbyists to keep replicate their natural environments! ( maybe try a fish tank with models of shopping trolleys, old bikes etc, for the purists out there!

MD you are probably one of the most sympathetic Aqua-Tubers and I love your tanks! Though in my opinion those small tanks are not big enough for Apistogramma or tetras. So many people see you as a role model, for the sake of many fish you need to get this right in my opinion 😬

This absolutely looks so natural, like the edge of a river bank with little fish darting in and out, so very cool and colorful, I love those twigs, their color alongside the redness of the perfectly scattered leaves...yes perfect, the fish are just the icing on the cake...job well done, my eyes are totally satisfied with this effort !!!

Imo the bright green in the background is a bit disconcerting. Any red/brown stem plants you could try back there and really embrace the hue 👌🏻

I think you should start composting the excess floaters and the trimmings off your plants. Feed them to worms and use the vermicastings in a tank with soil under the sand

MD, love each build you do. I've been keeping fish for over 25 years and always look forward to your uploads........but, for the first time I need to say something. Red Wood with glowlight tetras. Superb tank but the fish sort of vanish against the wood. Maybe lemon tetra would have been a good contrast. That said, great scape and keep them coming. Love the videos

I always shove my Indian almond leaves behind my sponge filters or the filter intake. I am trying to hid those things with the scape already so you can't even them to begin with. Except for my betta tank where I just put them on the top until they sink. Gives Rufus some nice shade to hang out in until they sink.

love the sparse planting, but would love to see just a few like maybe 3 more little foreground to mid ground plants in between rocks & sprouting out from the “roots.” i think it would bring the realism to another level!

Get some organic rooibos (red bush) tea and strain it in the tank. That's how i make mine Blackwater, and it's not cloudy at all.
