There is nothing better than listening to the sound of the first few raindrops falling, and looking around your campsite to see that everything is ready: equipment and firewood under cover; tents and tarps are properly rigged to shed water; all guy ropes are secured and tight; double pegged if high winds are expected; cup of hot coffee in your hands.

My wife and I still go camping, but we are the same age bracket as you, and we moved out of the tent and into an RV a few years ago. We figure we are a little too old for sleeping on the ground and walking to the outhouse in the middle of the night. Meanwhile our 20 something son is outside in the rain sleeping in a bivy sack. Yeah, I remember those days.

When I was a boy scout we had heavy canvas tents. They always leaked and were so heavy to carry. Modern equipment today is so much nicer. Why even girls can camp.

Good video today, I particularly liked the night shots with you looking at your tent and looking at the sky as lightning strikes pretty cool, I do wonder why you tend to use a stove that you reviewed six months ago and call it the worst thing you’ve ever seen if the stove is that bad why are you using it in your videos, you stated the opening on the side was so large that large chunks of amber would fall out, just asking the question, anyway I look forward to the next video. Brother, this isn't really what I call camping. This is loading your truck and going someplace to hang out outdoors. You bring so much stuff! I keep waiting for you to crank up the generator, pull a beer out of the fridge, and stick your dinner in the microwave. All of this just so you can sleep in a tent in the rain. I'm guessing you don't have a covered patio at home and can't sleep out in the yard. The rain sounds are nice, and I like hanging out with you, but you need to try roughing it once in a while.
