Your reviews are a Godsend. You spend 16 grand on 80 deck so we don’t have to. I already own a Slide 3.0 setup and was going to get something a bit more “surfy”. This review is making me lean more to the Yow Meraki now. That way I can take one board that does it all instead of bringing a whole quiver.

I bought an aquilo a few months ago, it has a yow deck which I don't love. I find the feel nicer than the yows, smoother, quieter and more flowey. I cant notice much or any diffrence in lean. Really pleased with it. I have carver cx, c7, yow and swelltech. The aquilo is now my go to.

Great video and solid defined review. Great co-host, the two different opinions leave no questions,and I think all of us are glad to see the videos again and I wanna try your wheels. I wanna try the trucks on a custom, and the completes I would probably be interested in as well. I like the flatter deck, surfskating, ! can move my feet around easier and change stances easier and faster. GREAT REVIEWS DUDES.

Just ordered an aquilo, thanks for the great reviews dude! I'm betting swapping bushings and pivot cups will give it all the rail lean, because swapping that stuff out changed my Slide insanely

Out of all of the systems in the new reviews, Joey seemed to be rocking the Aquilo system. Maybe if they invest in component quality, they could be a household name for surfskating. I would be interested in trying this one. I come from YOW Meraki, which I love.

the Aquilo surfskates are so gorgeous. i want one so bad. I did get a carver triton from the garage section of Carver's site to see if i'd be into surf skates and then i'll work my way up to the Aquilo if I like it!

Use the speeder spring, take out the rubber insert. The aquilo will be on par or have better rebound than the meraki.

Not quite... I have both. Using the 2.0 and taking out the rubber inserts does increase the rebound but not to the point of the Yow Meraki

yooo... the yow meraki doesn't have a compression spring, it has a torsion spring.

Yes, you're right, I accidentally switched them in the video. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. And the Aquilo, Smoothstar, and Carver C7 use compression springs.
