@@Fudmottin oh I know, isn't that crazy? I don't know true it is, but I had someone tell me that if you got pulled over with a rifle lower and pistol upper on you, even if they aren't pinned together they can still get you.
@Fudmottin
@Fudmottin 4 жыл бұрын
@@brian_b_music IANAL, but I believe they can nail you for "constructive intent". So the way to go is have a 16+ inch upper on your lower and your pistol upper on a proper pistol lower. If they are pinned together that way, it should be more difficult to prove constructive intent or intent to violate firearms laws under NFA. That said, I don't know if the ATF will suddenly reclassify any given pistol brace as a stock and try to nail you for that. I mean they did reclassify bump stocks as machine guns even though they do not fit the legal definition.

I like a 12.5 in pistol it is kind of a happy medium. You don't lose as much dwell time & still get a '4 in drop on that barrel from that 16 in carbine barrel which is huge . If you choose to throw a can on there you can drop a '6 in one & it brings you to around 18-18.5 in which isn't ridiculous . I'm still waiting on someone to do a review on the SBA4 brace . 👀

Peak pressure happens in the first inch or so of a barrel or before the bullet has began moving. Short barrels will not increase throat erosion. They do not increase pressure. Pressure drops faster due to short gas tube run and barrel length. You will experience higher pressure at the muzzle because pressure curve is still quite high when the bullet is 7.5-11.5" down the barrel. I guess you would put more wear on the gas block and journal, but is this an issue for most shooters? I can't afford to wear out an AR since I would be spending all of my money on ammo.

you gotta take into consideration the shooter. not everyone is normal size so stubby or less strong shooters can handle a lot better with a shorter lighter gun. 11.5 no suppressor on a pistol with sba-3 imo is a VERY good setup all around. muzzle device consideration is huge especially on non suppressed. i think the recoil eliminating comps are the way to go overall for most people. having ear pro that is quick to throw on nearby is definitely a recommendation i really do like the light at 12:o clock sling setup is personal preference. i prefer a fixed brace to adjustable because its the same everytime BUT adjustable is very nice for when you need to change it up. parts preference is subjective. you could make an entire video series on what you SHOULD get vs what you DO get for your money and usage. variable optic is very nice i like to have irons or buis on all mine. outstanding vid gentlemen

You are literally wrong on everything. Neither of us are running a quad rail. And since you have never bought a silencer... they are actually called that. SBA3 is a great brace. I have it on my 1st pistol build. The near zero recoil of the compensated 5.56 works fine with the squishy rubber brace. However, the higher recoil of the 50 Beowulf (think .8 oz shotgun slug out of a 10.5" barrel) made fast follow up shots rough. Enter Gear Head Works Tailhook. Fully adjustable on their proprietary buffer tube & rigid polymer. Problem solved.
