Welcome to the insane genius of Tom Morello. He makes sounds come out of his guitar that mere mortals cannot fathom. His guitar work is probably the most innovative and creative of just about any guitarist since Hendrix. Rage even had to put a statement in their album liner notes that said, “All sounds on this album made with drums, bass, guitar, and vocals” (I’m paraphrasing), because people didn’t believe some of it wasn’t artificial.

Source: grew up in NY, saw rage and wu tang alone when I was 13. rage is a part of me - Recommendations: - watch the live BBC performance of Killing in the Name, then look up the lore - watch denzel curry’s “like a version” live studio cover of this. it is the only cover i have seen that does this justice in a unique and true manner - check out “renegades of funk” from rage. it shows their range, as well as gives Zach the space rhyme at will - check out ‘Uncle Sam goddamn’ by brother Ali.
