Awesome damn content. Anyone have any suggestions for a qd option for the magpul piccattinny bipod? I tried the three slot kinetic development but Christ there has to be another option.
@hdub6527
@hdub6527 Жыл бұрын
Idk what it would be but there has to be a picatinny to atlas adapter that you could attach the mahout bipod to and then attach that to an arisaka rail slider. I have an arisaka rail slider for my atlas and love it. Move it between all my rifles.

@@hdub6527 I shoulda got the damn 17s I friggin knew it when I ordered it but Magpul won’t just send the top part for me to switch it out. But Midwest industries has a pretty legit one for about the same price of the bipod but will work.

A lil funky and kinda adds like 1.5" to the base height but the budget way I did is a magpul mlok to pic rail piece at the end of my rail, and then paired a picatinny magpul bipod with a picatinny QD off amazon. The expensive and less height adding way is using a ADM Mlok to picatinny QD adapter and pairing it with a mlok magpul bipod.

I pulled my kenetic development qd deal.. got really frustrated with it.. running a 3 slot aluminum picatinny to a qd picatinny to picatinny. My magpull bipod is the picatinny version. Adds more height than the KD qd deal but it is a reasonably priced strong lockup that works much better.

I love the good ol a2 stock for carrying a cleaning kit, a Magpul MIAD grip to carry batteries, but seeing that sling with that pocket is enough to make me wanna get one as soon as I can You can never have enough room for carrying the little stuff, especially when it's attached to the rifle, where it won't disappear if my backpack were to not be with me, or my gun bag

I noticed more available rail space on each rifle. Maybe add a cupholder? Another RMR? Arca rail adaptor for a wheeled tripod? See how dumb that sounds? With three deployments before the age of 26, I can guarntee anyone that nobody needs all that bullshit. Keep it simple, train.

There is an add on Illuminator that attaches to the Trijicon TA31 ACOG. The REM ACOG (Reticle Enhancement Module). It basically turns your TA31 into a TA02. It also covers half of the fiber optic so it helps reduce that reticle bloom in bright daylight. You will never have to buy chemlights anymore or need to replace the tritium. It is made of 30% glass filled polymer just like the AR pistol grips. Great Upgrade to the TA31.

How much is the training and where do we stay in the process? I'm assuming hotel, however some people have a living facility. Do we use your equipment for free or do we rent it? Some people make you rent it. Some make you bring your own weapons. If you live beyond Montana more east then you're talking about a lot of money wasted on training.

The G$ BCG (Reliability Enhanced) is wildly expensive, but imo is the real deal. The coating on mine does not seem to wear. Like it has no wear marks. The bolt has, of the BCGs I have, the tightest tolerances in terms of gas rings and headspacing. I wish you could buy those bolts individually (G$ does sell individual bolts, but they are not the same as the RE bolts).

Excellent information that will save new shooters money on their purchases. You cant go wrong with any item these gentlemen suggested. I like a pistol grip thats more vertical as well. The best one I have found has been the beavertail vertical crossover grip by Driven Arms. Its the bee's knees especially if you have bigger hands. Thier smaller ultralight compact grip is excellent as well. Although there are several great options out there, my favorite charging handle is made by Badger Ordinance along with their ambi safeties. Still to this day, its hard to beat the Magpul CTR stocks because of the economical and well fitted risers. To each their own, but when the optic is raised the face must rise with it if consistency is important to you. No matter your preference, consistency is an important part of accuracy. Thank you gentlemen for taking the time to put this info out. You gained a new subscriber.

I run the LaRue MBT-2s as well. I have the flat faced one. Got it for $80 and then sold my Geissele SSA-E. Love the Geissele triggers but there are so many more affordable options that are just as good. The $240 price tag just isn’t worth what you get anymore. He’s riding thunder from 10+ yea ago still. For the LaRue MBT, if you use the "extra power" spring in place of the standard spring, it supposedly mostly strengthens the reset to make it more affirmative. I have carried my rifle every single day on my farm, usually slung, for 3.5 years now. Not once has it came loose. This includes a couple tumbles down a hill, and an ATV incident. It does not come loose in the woods, during range sessions (I built my own to run at home) or crawling under fences (or through the brambles. I like my hunting to be exciting.) When slung loose, front, my QD hits right on my knee, when tight it hits inevitably on a cargo pocket that has hard things in it. I mean this in a nice and supportive way, but if you had a failure it is because of user error or because you bought QDs from Mao's flea market.

I'm 6'3" and was in the Marines before I was in the Army. I prefer the length of pull of the A2 rifle stock over the collapsible stocks. So when I decide to purchase an AR I'm going with an A2 lower set-up with a mid length upper. If anyone else runs that kind of set-up let me know how you like it and how it runs

My only advice to you would be to listen to men who've been deployed, not a LARP'r on a video. Any mil spec rifle will serve you well. Remember, it's the indian and not the arrow. You can easily spend thousands on useless gear, or you can spend that money on ammo and good training.... Ask yourself this: Are you gonna be deployed to some shithole to fight where your enemy is highly trained? No, chances are your rifle will be used to plink with and hopefully never be pointed at another man. Keep it simple, ounces equal pounds, pounds equal pain.

Keep pushing the videos out. Also is your shop an FFL? I currently live in Virginia after getting out the Army, but I still have to transfer lowers and rifles to a Florida shop because I'm not switching my license over to VA.

There are so many good quality companies. Say you get an xl upper from Aero Precision b/c u building a 6.5 grendel. Perfect cause the ejection port is just a tiny bit wider & will eject the slightly fatter brass w/o even thinking it might jam. hand rail using a one of a kind securing system. & extremely tough while estheticly pleasing, which also mounts very securely to a high shelf Griffin lower😊. And Griffin also makes SEVERAL muzzle devices from breaks & hybrids to full on spec-ops proven suppressors.😂 I'm enjoying your opinions & discussion. Lol & KNOWING geisslel and surefire AREN'T the end all & be all. And I totally run streamlights when I can. I used sure fire & streamlight in early iraq. I never had a bad streamlight & I chose especially rechargeable. Still have one from06"! I'm glad to have run across you fellas, I'm ur newest subscriber 👌

Looking for a solid IWB AND OWB holster with a light/laser combo for a Canik TP9 SFT. Light model is Solofish (Yes the cheap one) 700lm. Please. Help me, Barrel n Hatchet. You're my only hope. An Olight Odin with 2,000 lumens will absolutely fuck up your night vision for a good amount of time if it happens to be induced roght in your face in a dark room😂. Stupid bright white light, home defense option will just blind any intruder immediately. Just picked up a Centurion Arms MKXII SPR and am building one in a similar configuration with the SPR contour and Centurion collar and mount for the OPS INC 12 model suppressor. Definitely looking forward to range time with those and a bunch more rifles!

I got a BCM A5 tube for its inferiority. Ill explain: the Vltor comes with numbers on the tube for repeatable positioning of the stock. Its on all my guns EXCEPT my retro AR, i didnt want the numbers so i slapped a BCM tube on there since it looked more in-line with a psuedo-80s build.

When did the word “running” replace the word “using” , and why is it always tactical people that say it over and over? So annoying. Like my daughter saying “clutch” instead of “cool” , I’ll never be apart of it and you all sound pretty ignorant.

If you want to slick up your buffer tube and spring plus charging handle a bit of white lithium grease . A liberal dab is all that is needed . Slicker than pig shit. In Florida it works . Now past the arctic circle , Ak Russia and Finland Estonia id think hard about it but in the lower 48 never had a issue . Just my opinion and way . Smooth operating.

A bit driver w/ all the bits you need for all of the screws on your rifle is good to carry. So is a paint can opener to pull out any stuck cases. And, if your not ising Loctite's primer with any Loctite younput on your rifle, switch to VC3 because it doesn't need a primer and isn't expensive. Loctite needs a primer if the metal is coated in any way.
