@ you answered your own question, by your response you understand why the weapon shouldn’t be supported by the mag… if you’re correct, then I suggest contacting the Pentagon and offering your services as a consultant, let them know that the entire US military is being trained incorrectly

@@fortmountaingroundpounder Well I wouldn't bother doing that because I can find evidence that at a bare minimum the military isn't training every soldier to avoid mag podding. I literally just watched a video from the Army Marksmanship unit about prone shooting where the soldier in the video supported his rifle on the ground using the magazine. There are videos of rangers doing it too. So idk what you want me to do here, you want me to contact the Pentagon and tell them that YOU were trained incorrectly? Besides, that's a pmag in the video. I implore you--grab your finest gen 3 pmag. Put it in your AR15 and press the mag catch so it's not locking the mag in and press the mag in as hard as you physically can. Bet you can't move it even 2mm. Now, take the mag out of the gun. Use that high IQ of yours and really, really look at the mag. Tell me why that mag won't go any further in the receiver even though you pushed it with all your strength while you had the mag catch pressed....notice any physical features that would prevent over insertion??? And hey while you're at it since you're the one making the claim the burden of proof is on you. We all just watched a clip where someone supported the rifle using the mag without inducing a malfunction. Can you find a video where someone is using an in specc rifle and a quality mag where mag podding causes a malfunction???? Come on dude, show us! We really wanna see.
