I've got a K and also a .22 mask being held hostage in NFA jail right now. I chose a dealer with an onsite range so I'd have access to them while waiting on the stamps to come in.

You should try one if you get the chance. Lots of .22 cans to choose from. Its a tough decision choosing which one. Good luck choosing yours.

I’ve started looking for a rifle can, but concerned about portability for my 16” AR. The K seems like a solid entry - how much suppression do you think it Actually provides compared to no device/unsuppressed? I’m on the fence about the S and the K, but the current pricing on the K is really making it hard to justify going up to the S. L is too long, as I want to be able to use this as a defensive carbine “tool” not just a range toy.

If you want more out of the k you can use the e break and the flash hider end cap and it’s something special buddy.

I’d say for a 16 go with the k you don’t need the large ones and if you want as I said before use the e break and flash hider endcap.

Doubtful. They do have flash hider caps too to help with that extra flash. Most guys say the Sandman K sounds like shit because its too loud. However Id rather have the K in a house or building than the L and definitely Id rather have it over a bare muzzle. It's always a trade off

I have an S and a K and the K is good enough to shoot an AR in a field with no ears for a few rounds. It is not quiet but AR’s aren’t quiet. I use my K on everything and think it is the best option for just about every senecio other than maybe 300BO without ears. I have a 5.56 end cap but never use it as the 30 cal has a deeper tone. I have yet to really try them side by side in a field to see the real difference. My opinion right now I would save your money.

I just bought this can. I want maximum suppression out of my AK and AR’s so I went with the L. Man you are giving yourself permanent hearing damage by not wearing ear pro. Anything 130DB and over causes instant hearing loss. I doubt very seriously these were under that threshold. But if it was, that is awesome. But I do appreciate the honesty of your review.

IMHO, the vid title is a bit misleading... I don't think it's length so much as VOLUME that dictates how well a suppressor does it's job. It'd be nice to see a long "slender" can versus a short "fat" can >of the same volume< to get a better picture of length effect on db. If a long thin can was more quiet than the short fat can...THEN you can say length played a part.
