I once new a guy from Gaza strip who was living/studying in europe. The guy was terrorized by the idea of being seen in the company of Israeli jews, when I asked him for the reason he said that he was afraid of being seen by other Palestinians while associating with an Israeli because "all it took was one phone call by his Palestinian colleagues to put his family back in Gaza in danger". I think this is fairly descriptive of the situation.

Speaking as an Israeli I'd have no problem at ALL with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah or whatever Palestinian group if they would limit their fighting to fighting the IDF... Lobbing rockets into Israeli civilian towns doesn't count as "resistance" in my opinion... It's terrorism!... Pure and simple... Lobbing rockets into IDF positions is a completely different proposition but that's not what they do... The Palestinians have the right to support even an extremist antisemitic group like the Hamas... Whether I think that's a smart thing to do is neither here nor there... However, when they chose to support Hamas they should realize that actions have consequences... Israel is here to stay... Whether Hamas likes it or not... The maximalist position taken by Hamas isn't helpful ESPECIALLY to the Palestinians...

Israelis occupied Palestine! Israel's situation today is the perfect example of colonization in the 21st century!! Let's say you're a Jewish British person and lived in England for thousands of yrs...England is your country and you lived with Muslims and Christians peacefully and you guys respect each others beliefs until one day all of a sudden, the Christian Arabs who were treated badly in their Arab countries because of their faith came to occupied your country ( England) because it says in their holy book that England belongs to the Christian Arabs and lived there before anyone else...the original Christian Arab don't agree with occupying! So you tell me who'd be right in a situation like this? Because it's the same thing that's happening in Israel.. The original Jews don't agree with the Israel's settlement in Palestine... Israel is a country that was made by the Jews of EUROPE ( the white people) they migrated to Palestine when they were kicked out of THEIR MOTHER LAND COUNTRY because of Hitler! Israelis belong to EUROPE not in the Middle East!!! The REAL JEWS (I know a lot of them who live in New York) DONT LIKE ISRAEL!

Falis Chika Those "real" Jews as you put it are nothing but a minuscule minority who'd have a problem filling a phone booth... Furthermore, even they believe that "Palestine" belongs to Jews... The difference is that they believe that Jews should wait for the Messiah before returning there... As for colonialism, Israel isn't a colony (to wit, there's no "home country")... In fact, Jews are the only remaining indigenous people who ever lived there... Arabs are from Arabia and Jews are from Judea... As for the Israelis being white Europeans: 1st, roughly half of all Jewish Israelis are Sepharadi Jews (from North Africa, the Middle East and Asia)... 2nd, genetic research shows Jews (including the so called "European" ones) are indigenous to the area in question... BTW, even the Quran says that the area in question belongs to the Jews...

Will any Arab Israeli actually want to go and live in an independent Palestinian state if one is ever established? I doubt it, considering the situation already, where an Arab has more rights in Israel than he does in any Arab or other Middle-Eastern country. The Gaza Strip and the West Bank are unfortunate, but, when you're in a war, that's the best the enemy gets treated. Would and should the Americans have ended the occupation of Japan, if there had been a 'Japanese resistance' and Japan had refused to renounce war against America?

This is so insightful and frustrating at the same time. I've read the entirety of Hamas's charter, and I believe they want to destroy Jews. And yet, as a Jew myself, I feel ashamed that so many innocent Palestinians have died. I wish we could embrace each other as cousins, and end this violence. I hope my generation can find a peaceful, two-state solution.
@PottersVideos2
@PottersVideos2 2 жыл бұрын
Firstly, I don't like Israel, and I'm not defending them at all. But it isn't just Israel to blame, Hamas are also part of the problem. They don't just want to destroy Israel, they want to kill all of the Jews in the entire world. If you offered them a two state solution, they would only give you a 10 year ceasefire. They would never accept a two state solution as a permanent solution, since that would mean having to recognise Israel, which they do not want as they want Israel wiped off the map. I don't like Israel, but I can see why people often criticise Hamas. I fully agree nevertheless. It's just unfortunate that this doesn't look likely anytime soon, at least not for as long as Hamas are in power. Even without them in power, I think that the fighting will not end until Hamas either surrender, are disarmed, or are destroyed entirely.

@@PottersVideos2 I’ve read about Hamas since 2003 and also read research regarding them and their views. There are different perspectives regarding how static their ideologi is and in what direction the movement will go. No one need to tell me to read the original charter or show me any more MEMRI videos, but it’s not true that a Hamas wants to kill all Jews in the world. Yes I am aware of what several of their leaders have said but even if I am against Hamas ideology and actions, I think it’s important to not view the entire movement in either the worst or apologetic terms. I am very aware of the rethorics of several Hamas leaders, I have read the Arabic text on the Qassam website and it is awful. I even had a friend from Hamas once but I never excused their views. My point is that there are nuances even within a movement such as Hamas and that there are many differences between them and Daesh for example. There are also differences between the Taliban and Daesh. Officially, both according to the Arabic and the English websites, Hamas would prefer to “expel” most Jews from the land, which is something I would never support. But their aim is not to kill Jews in other countries even if the rethorics of Hamas is often Antisemitic. I hope you don’t misunderstand me and my aim is not at all to put Hamas in a good light, but I have followed what concerns them more or less for several years and I know that there are different perspectives on them. Björn Brenner wrote a good and nuanced thesis about them and there are also other studies regarding them but Jerome Gunning and his book is too apologetic regarding Hamas in general. But things are not always black or white, not even regarding a movement like Hamas.

I believe the Palestinian gene pool is not 100% similar to that of the Hijaz population ( "traditional arabic tribs), but is rather mixed up. Not quite because neither whites or blacks are native to the USA and whites brought blacks there and oprressed them and whites tried to ethnically cleanse the country from natives and everyone else. There were Jews living in Palestine alongside the Christians and Muslims and you have Jews who are against Israel and Zionism. It's not that Palestinians are in love with Hamas, it's that they want their freedom and self-determination which Israel and the PA don't believe in. It's like the Suffragette movement was classed as terrorism. It's like in Nazi-occupied France during World War Two. The PA would be the equivalent of miliciens and Hamas would be the equivalent of Maquis (French resistance groups were labelled as terrorists by Facist authorities and the government of Vichy but a few decades later, we look at history differently)

When there's an extremely provocative question, I first watch the videos several times with no voice and I ignore the subtitles. I'm looking at the body language first and foremost. Although born in the United States, from one month of age I lived in Saudi Arabia where my parents had a business. It is the saying in the Middle East and India that the truth can be very dangerous. You see this everyday, but most people ignore it. Here, the people who are being interviewed, for the most part, are startled by the question. For most of them, for them to express their opinion of what as to what they see is the truth, might be very dangerous. Watch their body language. Watching many of these videos, it becomes evident that most people, Jews and Palestinians want to get along with each other. The problem is that they are held captive by politics and old prejudices. The question I would like to be asked of Jews and Palestinians is "What actions can you take daily, as an individual, to work towards peace between Jews and Palestinians?" In this type of conflict, the governments cannot solve the problem. If they could, there would have been peace 50 years ago. Jews, read carefully, God loves you. Christians, read carefully, God loves you. Muslims, read carefully, God loves you. That God loves you is everywhere in religious writings, whether it's the Torah, Bible or Quran. Given this fact that none of us can ignore, are we not under an obligation to look for peace between us?

Whats with these racists saying Palestinians are "invented"? They are there, they were there, they exist, etc. Meanwhile the whites, blacks, asians, etc that moved to israel where in their countries for over 1000 years and come there to colonize, like Americans in North America. If anyone is "invented" it's israelis. What are palestinians? Levantine arabs. They have been there since at least 600AD. Meanwhile these isrealis have been there since the 19th century at the earliest unless they are locals of which less than 5% of them are. Stop using racist terms that can easily be applied to you. My grandfather is a german jew, if I moved there and then claimed the people who have been there since 600sAD were invented I would be a fool. As foolish as the people claiming this as i'm sure I am as genetically hebrew as they are. Israeli jews who think that are doing themselves no favors with this superiority complex like that is an example of.

Beyond being racist your claims are simply lies. 1)The term "Am Israel" "People of Israel" are together with the term Yehudi meaning Judeans the only Hebrew term used for Jews by the Jews for more than 3000 years continually. 2) There was never in history a nation or people called "Palestinian" This phrase which originally refered to Indo-European non Semitic Greek people, the Philsitines, was never in history used by Arabs. Early Zionists however called themselves "Palestinians" In firstv two decades of the invention of "Palestinians"' Arabs did not denied this historic fact. "The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct 'Palestinian people' to oppose Zionism. "For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa. While as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan." (PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein, in a 1977 interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw.) 3) Historically the only time in history when the land of Israel was ruled by the people who lived on that land was during ancient and modern Jewish statehoods. All the rest were colonial rules from outside. 3) Arabs are not there from 600 Ad continually,Most of modern day Arabs are descendants of late immigrants from 1800-1948. In 1800 the Land had only 180 000 inhabitants or 2% of today population or 9% of 2 million Jewish population that lived there during I century(Jews remained majority until the Arabian invasion) The population of the land was exchanged many times:In Roman times, in Crusades, in Arab, Mongolian invasion and as a result of depopulation and repopulation in early and late Ottoman empire. Modern day "Palestininas" are invented people, invented few decades ago and represent all invader and all immigrant people who came to land. Genetic science proved that modern Jews have genetic conection to the land. Beyond genetics, historically, linguistically and culturally the Land of Israel is native land of Jewish people. Something which is very far for Arabs to be truth.

Jews have always inhabited this land and archeoligists finds prove this.. B/c the Jews have been conquered, suppressed, oppressed, killed, and pushed out of their land only to be renamed and inhabited by a new people doesnt take away the fact that it has always been our land.. look up the Bar Kokhba revolt...

Is suppose you think Azmi Bishara, or Phillip Hitti(arab representative at the UN) is racist when they said there is no palestine, no palestinians. Or how about arafat or the former king of jordan that said jordan is palestine.. Not exactly racist against arabs are they. Were you even aware of that? If so then you're dishonest. 'cos you shouldn't say Jews are racist for saying the same thing arab leaders have always said -as a statement of fact, if you study it.

"After the declaration of Israel as a state the Arabs in Palestine were asked to stay and live as citizens in the Jewish state. Instead, they chose to leave, either because they were unwilling to live with the Jews, or because they expected an Arab military victory which would annihilate the Zionists. They thought they could leave temporarily and return at their leisure. The implication of this position is that the Palestinians chose to leave, and thus forfeited their rights to their land, and must accept their own responsibilities for the plight they find themselves in. According to Benny Morris, between December 1947 and March 1948, around 100,000 Palestine Arabs fled. Among them were many from the higher and middle classes from the cities, who left voluntarily, expecting to return when the Arab states won the war and took control of the country." Voluntarily means it was their choice not an obligation.Therefore they lost their right to return.

An eye for an eye only leads to a bunch of blind people. And none the less, that isn't even remotely what we're talking about when discussing Hamas. They deliberately set out to kill those who are innocent, where as Israel tries to _prevent_ civilian casualties. That is a major distinction. And even still, when Israeli teens are kidnapped, they set after the perpetrators. When it's the other way around, Hamas sets out to attack both Israel as well as it's own people, indiscriminately, both to do harm as well as to use it for it's own vile and deceptive propagandist vehicle. Attacking an innocent person in response to someone else entirely having wronged you in some way, and then calling this "resistance," or retribution," is not only morally and logically wrong, it is just plain dumb.

It's interesting how some people when they are put on the spot quickly turn to well rehearsed rhetoric... and I have seen that in videos on subjects from both sides. It does seem the problems between these groups of people makes it harder to think objectively about not only a perceived opponent but oneself too. However, I wonder of it is potentially dangerous to say something that is perceived as against a group that is known for violence. I would suppose so - and that saying something pre-approved is easier, gets approval from those around you and then you can get on with your day... folks do that all the time on KZbin as well :-)

I watched some earlier shows, when most of the answers were pro Israel...and one guy was saying, that most of the time everything between the Arab and Jewish citizens was fine... except when something really bad happened, and then the cops would start driving by all twitchy, looking at them. And yeah, he sort took offense at that. Was hurt by it. Not in an "oh my god" way, but still.. But THIS show, shows why. I had NO idea Israel had such an enormous Moslem Arab population. Frankly, it shows enormous bravery, as well as understanding of the Arabs as simply people, and citizens. Many have been there since before 1948...so THIS is not a "new" thing, orchestrated for the camera, or video. But the answers from many of THESE people, here, proves that many harbor going from a dystopian culture of arab killing arab to a Disneyesque vision of life in this SUPPOSED Palestine...when, actually nothing in the Arab World's history would suggest that to be true. The GOOD life they dream about is HERE, NOW. Perfection is NEVER possible, because people themselves will always be imperfect. But until the Arabs learn to separate Church and State, the lives they have now, will be gone, if Israel is destroyed. If Hamas had spent the World's generousity in terms of cash, on building a proper world for their people, instead of elaborate expensive tunnels arms, bombs, a standing army....AND fabulous homes, condo's elsewhere...as well as Swiss Bank accounts.... But no, THEY DIDN'T. And history doesn't suggest they would.

 @spointz8936 Among those who came their after 1948 were also Jews from the other Arab countries in this continent, those Jews who lived their for many centuries after leaving Kingdom of Israel in II century, expelled by Romans who colonised this land that time. Those Jews who did not leave the continent, settled after expelling in this region, kept their religion in those countries almost for 2000 years despite of Islam that originated in the 7th century and spread rapidly. They kept their identity. Is not it miracle? And they have been expelled by other Arabs (from Egypt, Yemen. Jordan, Lebanon etc), when state Israel was established in 1948. Amount of those exiles was about 800 000 Jews, considerable part of them went to their new state, Israel. Somebody emigrated in other countries. Maybe those immigrants from Arab countries also became Zionists, maybe not, but that part of "new people of Israel" was obviously indigenous. And I wouldn't be so sceptical to Zionists from Europe. Try to read their story - not in the Zionist books, but other sources. I know, that is difficult, I don't believe you'll do it, as many others. Much more easy to believe to Palestinian Arabs, whose story starts with first and only known leader, Yasir Arafat.

That if i had been bombed since 1948, i'd be a lot more neurotic than that. It wasn't criticism, it was empathy. But i am very worried. Hamas has better PR people. They are actually talking Death by Media. On video. And from the size of the protests, its working. They want to discredit Israel in the eyes of their friends and benefactors, the WORLD. They want Israel alone and vulnerable. And Netanyahu isn't helping. Hamas may be lying about statistics, which, right now THEY control. Arabs are notorious liars, and often about stupid little things. It's literally part of the culture. But the WEST doesn't know that. And there ARE MANY CASUALTIES. Hamas is making sure of that. And yeah i know Yasser Arafat was the first Palestine Leader, in the 1940's. The rest was a fairytale of his imagination. People believe what they want to. God warned us, He told us what has, IS, and WILL happen. Everything is happening just like God said. Funny even in the quran, Jesus is spoke of more than any other, and the only woman? Mary. The only "religion" that says to kill those who don't believe the way you do. The only one to save us now is God. I pray for everyone. In Jesus name, Amen. Before you jump me. I'm not religious, man made religion. I have a relationship with God. We are all His children. All given free will. I do know and have studied what I speak of. If you wish to discuss something, fine, but at least be civil. There is enough fighting going on as there is. Love to all and God Bless.

Sal G The bible is riddled with blatant contradictions and immoral propositions. You are deluded if you actually think that the god of your specific text is the real one. It seems you don't even know what religion is.
@SalGL
@SalGL 8 жыл бұрын
ViNcEnT RoSs How about this. You be an adult, and we can agree to disagree I am not trying to make you believe what I do, so calling names and putting me down isn't much of an intellectual conversation. I know who our Father is, and was Saved and accepted Him when I was 13. I don't have to prove myself to you, I only have to live for our Father. Again, have a Blessed day

Sal G Being an adult isn't about being complacent to the intellectually regressive. It's about educating the next generation so that they can have a better life than we have. Education is the encouragement of critical thought and the persecution of ideas, 2 things your religion has been avidly opposed to for centuries. There are many intellectuals who use insults when they are appropriate, and religious apologists are quite deserving. Enough of this ideological filth.

Corey, you do a great job with this channel. But please at least try to make sure people understand your questions, the first guy seemed like he didn't know what the hell you talk about, not everyone know English well enough and it makes them looks stupid.

Heh no. I know the first guy very well, he was in same class with me in school. He was a very smart guy, we both were best in class in English, he had 90% in English matriculation exam on the highest level. He just tried not to say something stupid cause he's religious. You know, he didn't want trouble because of this.
