Nice ride altogether. I was also worried about all those rocks. Now he'll have a rest. You are such a good owner to take such good care of Farouk and Apollo as you do after these rides. I've known few to be so caring. They are both so gorgeous!!

Farouk was so calm on this ride. He really is mature fro his age. That lime stone rd was a bit hard on his feet though. You are so lucky having so many hunts around who organize these rides. A lovely number of others to ride with and everyone was so considerate.

Super lovely!! 💗💗 really enjoyed the series thanks Tara. I notice when Farouk turns his head back to look at horses behind him, he has the most beautiful curved neck and bedroom eyes and perfectly pricked ears. He’s just such a looker 😍 so lovely to watch him with the group and his clean up after, plus the catching- they’re so great to catch in the paddock now. Awesome viewing thank you 🙋

Hi Tara, what a nice ride for you and Farouk! He seems to be so easy these days. Just one of the guys! He seems to like these other horses, walking and running with them all. Nasty rocks though! Tough on the feet. But they didn't seem to bother any of the horses. But I'd bit it's pretty tirering on them? I know it's hard on people so.... Anyway great video. I enjoyed it. Always love seeing your boys enjoying themselves with you. Have a great day! 🤗😘💖👌🧚‍♂️🌷🌻🌾🥂

Thank you for taking us along, Tara, for the range of Farouk (and a cameo by Apollo) experiences. I like to see him show what he's learned from you, see him with you or a group and always the end of an event - the water/feed/wash up. They look content . Glad you had a nice lunch (and cake) for all your efforts.

Farouk is maturing into a lovely well mannered horse. He enjoys his outings with the other horses and is so interested in what is going on around him, looking around and obseving the goings on around him. Arabians are very intelligent indeed and are always so aware of their surroundings. My Arabian of my youth used to love to look at airplanes. His fields were located in the area of an international flight path so he used to look up at the airplanes when they flew over wondering what they were. He was not at all frightened he was used to the air traffic. I suspected he thought they were large harmless birds! He was the only horse on the property that would observe things in this way. It is typical of the Arabian breed. Do the stones bother Farouk much? I suspect he has hooves as hard as flint!

I think you are very brave going out to all these rides with Apollo and Farouk on your own! Many rides I have been "on with you" in these videos, where you and your horse have been out in the middle of nowhere..., I am saying "well done Tara!" I always rode with my twin, until my dh and I had a farm in KS for 4 years and we ended up with 3 horses. Pour man, he had only been on a few rides in western saddles on hot horses that literally ran away with him before then, but he learned quickly :) As always yours are the best videos on You Tube!

I can sympathize about being put on a hot horse when you are not yet used to riding. It was my first ride with people and they did not have a pony size so they stuck me on this giant. I was grateful for having a western saddle that horn came in very handy for keeping me from flying off. lol Had my love of horses not taken over my fear, I never would of got on another horse ever.

Farouk is thinking all the time he canters, “ mum you know I can take em, anytime “. What a well behaved boy.. how did his feet stand up to the stone.. no splitting.. he does look around when you’ve stopped.. whether to get a pat or to see who they are waiting for.. he’s been brilliant.. Farouk has been looking around more.. extra carrot.. he much prefers to be waited on, holding his water. Lol. X

I think why he didn't behave near the end was that he had lost patience with all the stones and flies, he just wanted it over. Something you really can't blame the lad for, I would be cranky too walking bare foot over stones and being bit by those nasty horse flies. Because I thought he did very well this time with a group. He didn't even panic all that much seeing that board fence, which is a plus for him encountering new things. So pats & carrots mom please. A big thank you for more learning tips about why they stagger their walk when roaming free. *hugs* for my teacher. I would of said an apple but knowing Apollo's love of food, he'd eat it before you could. LOL

Very good experience for Farouk to have gone on a steadier ride, rather than everyone charging off all over the place 😊 I’m sure he was probably thinking....when are we going to gallop though 😂 That ground was quite stony, have you ever considered getting him some hoof boots for the fronts as opposed to shoeing ( although I guess you probably wouldn’t know it was going to be stony until you’re on the ride). Very civilised to have lunch and a lovely looking piece of cake for your journey home 👍

I’m a nonrider and very impressed with how you care for your boys at the end of rides… feeding and washing them down. Seeing to their comfort before your own. I haven’t caught any glimpses in your videos of other riders at these events doing the same care with their horses. What is the normal routine or common practice when riders return to their horse vans? Thank you, Tara! 👏👏👏🍷🌟

Hi Tara, Looked like a pleasant ride except for the stones. For a minute there I thought Farouk was making a new friend! Do most other riders sponge down their horses or do they just tie them up and head for the food? I guess some could do it when they get home. Hopefully most will at least give their horses a drink. Also nice for you when someone else deals with the gates.
