●INGREDIENTS:
for 4-6 people:
1 kg chicken (e.g. boneless thighs)
150 g onions (=2 onions)
3 tsp garlic paste or 3-4 cloves
a 2 cm long piece of ginger
200 g carrots (=3-4 carrots)
300 g pureed tomatoes
500 g long grain rice
1 liter of water
2 tbsp tomato paste (60 g)
Coarse spices:
2-3 bay leaves
1 cinnamon stick
2-3 cardamom pods
Fine spices:
1 tsp saffron
2 teaspoons salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper
1 tsp turmeric
½ tsp cinnamon
1 pinch of clove powder
¼ tsp cumin/cumin
¼ tsp coriander
1 tsp chili flakes
1 pinch of nutmeg
Meat marinade:
2 tsp paprika powder
1,5 tsp salt
2-3 tbsp oil
Topping:
100 g slivered almonds
100 g raisins
3 onions for fried onions
