I think they were talking about the actual gold coins, and not the in-game currency. The shopkeep was selling one, so they were talking about "If I spend all the money on upgrades, I won't be able to buy the coins, but I don't know what they do"

Darkness. Putting the blind in blind play. With those creepy crawlies it seems like they're supposed to be baited out. Or perhaps crowd control. I'd assume those vertical lines on the map are the waterfalls. I love how everything is torn apart and crumbling and we have no idea why. I've called it Cute Souls before, but that feels like a good nickname for the game. Part of the fun in games like Dark Souls is figuring out why everything ended up the way it did. The game has a story, but you have to reconstruct it yourself. And of course, in DS you can get magic rings that only grant bonuses when your health drops low enough. The game's pretty awesome at 29:19 ... those flame arrows set the plants ablaze and that fire crept up to those urn-things that went boom. When those purple line pillars go "down" don't they look a lot like those yellow squares found at the start of the game?

Good episode, however, the ruthless slaughter of baby slorms at 18:05 is unacceptable. As a slorm super fan, I am outraged.

Oh god because of the order i went in, I fought that "fortress of the eastern vault" guy first without even getting THE GODDAMN SHIELD YET and it was a complete living hell. Trust me you'll really be depending on your shield and glad you had one once you get to that fight XD

@@AJ-uf4sh i didnt go there yet, i just tried to finish off the east side first and so i went to the fortress and killed all the mages, wandered into the boss area and got fucking destroyed

I'm impressed! I made it all the way to the Garden Knight before realizing that I must have missed the shield somewhere. I had to retrace my steps all the way back until I found it. Haha

if it's because of spiders it's not that bad! it's the same ones that were in part 2 before and it's only for the first 11 min or so! episode summary below (spoilers ofc) - went past spiders in a dark dungeon - after the dungeon is the eastern vault, where there's a bunch of evil looking fox (?) mages/ritualists huddling around many of the pillars we can kneel down to - there's a big yellow door that appears to be locked by 2 monument pillars but one of them doesn't work - figured out that in order for pillars to work there has to be a purple line connected to it as a power source first (did not go back to big yellow door yet) - figured out i can equip the cards i've been picking up by selecting the dotted square in the inventory, effects of equipping the cards remain a mystery - lowered draw bridge that connects the eastern vault directly to the beginning of this area
