When I go to the site and click "arbhar Firmware 2.0.2 (Latest Version) - For USB" I get a .gz file which balenaEtcher does not recognize. It says "missing partition table. It looks like this is not a bootable image." What's the correct way to get the firmware into Etcher?

Ahh, it seems like you can just click Continue and it will ignore that error. I haven't booted the module to see if it took, but Etcher didn't have any other problems. I thought about deleting my original reply, but figure someone else might run into the same issue.

The file you downloaded specifies ".... For USB". You need to flash the .img file using balena etcher, which has "... For MicroSD" in the download link

I managed to update from V1, save a scene and edit a text file to make a scene that loaded like one of the six factory presets and didn't wipe the layer I'd recorded. What a wonderful update and excellent instuoctional videos. Thank you very much!

I was wondering if the USB Expension of the Lubadh can be used with the Arbhar? At this time there's no Arbhar Expension pack available on store, so I was thinking buying the Ludadh instead...

great video! I followed all steps. copied the 2.0.2 onto the micro sd card and upated with belaetcher on osx. now when I plug in the card, the module keeps to stay in a mode where the leds are rotating endless and when I plug it back to the computer, my mac says it cant read the micro sd card anymore and I need to format 😞any ideas?

Only the 2.0.0 upgrade file is for the uSD card. All subsequent updates are done via USB. If you send us and email at [e-mail] the support team will be happy to help :)

@@faruambient Any USB drive can be used. The modules ship with a black 4GB drive which will work for applying the update.

Just updated using Balena Etcher to burn the SSD, easy and exactly as described. Haven't even looked at the V2 manual or new overview video yet, but OMG, the engine sounds so smooth. Super excited to dig into this, V2 on Lubadh was orders of magnitude beyond anything I expected, so I'm prepared to have my mind blown yet again.

It does not exist yet! The video demonstrating it is for humans of the future 🚀 I used CGI for the video to show the process as it will be for all updates following the V2.0.0 That section can be ignored at this time :)

@@instruo Yeah sorry, I bought the expansion pack and the firmware didn't update from the USB key so I was going to try and do it this way. What I just found out though is that in the box there's also a new SD card you have to install too with the firmware already flashed to it. It's all working now. Maybe there should be a note about that in the box :)

There is indeed! We only learned of the quirk on Tuesday. A patch has been getting tested and will be rolling out any day now. Be sure to email the support crew so you get a copy/instructions. [e-mail]

Stock went to distribution weeks ago to ensure everything would be in stock in time for today :) Embargo officially lifted at 4:30PM (UK). In in doubt, send your preferred retailer a message and ask if they have it in and available.

We're doing the same thing as we did with the Lubadh expander. The sample library is a short term exclusive with the expansion pack and will then be published online for download. The expander is an entirely optional extra! But like the Lubadh expander, its sales are helping the creators as a short term boost. An incredible amount of work has gone into this update :)

Hi i tried updating from my v1 module. I made the procedure in the correct way (i think) but now is booting up for 15 minutes at least. is it normal? turning it off and restart during boot could damage the module in any way? thanks for the help and for this updates!

No, they’ll be via the USB. The expander is an entirely optional extra, all it does is makes the USB port longer! Firmware is completely free to download and install from the website :)

@@RobertCharlesMann what is your upgrade situation? Have you updated from V1 to V2 from the download? Or did you purchase an expansion pack? The sample library is only available with the expansion pack as a short term exclusive. It will be published in the future but at the moment it is a perk with the expansion pack purchase. The firmware update itself is completely free to all Arbhar users though!

Situation 2 is what you want. There is only an SD card update (V2.0.0) I shot the video detailing the future method preemptively.

Amazing!! Thank you for all the hard work. Can't wait to try it. Just ordered my second arbhar too!! Is it possible to go back to V1 after going to V2 using the same method ? Really want to try V2 but I've a few live shows coming up and want to able to jump back just in case.

If you use a second uSD card you can swap them out and immediately go between V1 and V2 :)
