Its a really nice module, both sounds and visuals. Great explanation too. Arbhar is gaelic for grain - the out socket should probably be labeled "Uisge Beatha"

Aren't the letters 'bh' pronounced as a 'v' sound in gaelic? Or maybe like the letter w in German! (I'm English but live in Scotland). Guessing it's like ar-var, could be wrong. I don't have a Eurorack setup but need one just so I can get this module!

Super Cool Omri! As always! And super helpful! I have a question, can I use Instruo Ochd to send cv to MOD CV Input on the CV Expansion Module to control the parametres of the Reverb in the "Stereo Reverb Configuration:"(Maybe at high rate to achieve a constant CV tension?) Or do I need something like Maths or Shades or etc...? Hope I'm clear. Anyway, Thanks!!! You're se inspiring!
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Well, actually, the MOD CV input, when in reverb mode, will add reverb together with the dry signal with positive voltage, and will output only the wet signal with negative voltage so you can use Ochd to move between those 2 states. I never tries it at audio rates though. What do you mean by constant CV tension? Do you mean like freezing the reverb? You can freeze the reverb with both positive and negative voltages if you add about 3 or 4 volts.
@nefertiti9793 жыл бұрын
@@OmriCohen-Music Thanks Omri, so kind! basically I'm wondering if there's a way to send a positive voltage using just ochd, maybe a fast lfo, so to have just "one" state" (wet and dry mixed) and not move between wet/dry (positive) - wet signal (negative). The fact is that I dont' have enough space in my case, so I'm i'm figure out if there's a trick using the ochd :) Anyway, again Omri, your music is great and your video are super helpful. Thank you so much. D.
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
@@nefertiti979 I appreciate it, thanks! And I guess you will need another module for that to rectify Ochd so it will output only positive voltages. Do you have maybe Kinks from MI? Or maybe an attenuverter with offset control?
@nefertiti9793 жыл бұрын
@@OmriCohen-Music No, I don't. I have Morphagene, Hyrlo (mixer) and Ooots (Master Out) from Knob Farm, uZeus from Tip top. I'm going to buy Arbhar ( I found it here at my local store), and I would like to add Ochd and then it's just 2hp left, and I was thinking to buy a 2hp verb for the Morph. And then it's 60hp and it's done :) But I guess I have to find another solution if I want to use also the built in reverb of Arbhar. Or I can just put the 2hp verb after the Hyrlo and before the Ooots, so I can use anyway ochd for modulation (for Morph and Arbhar). I won't be able to use the built in Arbhar reverb (pity), but I guess that's the solution. Anyway, thanks man!
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
@@nefertiti979 Well, something fun you can try is using the CV out of Morphagene to control the reverb of Arbhar. Do you have any other gear other than Eurorack? Keystep? BSP?

How do you time stretch a sample without effecting pitch like with Nebulae?
@OmriCohen-Music4 жыл бұрын
Well, I'm pretty sure that it's not possible on Arbhar, but on the Morphagene you can use a clock to "glide" through the grains and the slower the clock, the slower the playback. But yeah, it's not the same effect like on the Nebulae.
@ryanpalma59474 жыл бұрын

Hey Omri, how does this compare to Beads? I have one, and I really want an Arbhar. But they seem so similar. Does it pay off having both?
@OmriCohen-Music3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Well, I have Beads as well and, to be honest, I hardly use it. And I don't really think that they are the same. I think that Arbhar goes much deeper into granular synthesis, and is much more musical. What do you like about Beads? What do you think is missing?

Very cool. How to do similar in VCV, if possible?
@OmriCohen-Music4 жыл бұрын
Well, I guess that Clouds in granular mode will do the trick. You have grain length (size), envelope (texture), density, you can scan with the position knob, and change the pitch. Also the new Ghosts is somewhat similar.
