Wow. Not only can this dog paint, he also does not even paint for his own benefit, but for charity and to raise awareness of the use of gas chambers to end animal lives. What an amazing dog!

Cried my eyes out. The torture of the gas chamber has got to end. How can we allow this to happen to any animal? It breaks my heart!

I cried my heart out! I’m now on vacation time from work. First thing I’m doing in the morning is calling my elected official to make sure there are no gas chambers in my state! And if there is; they will hear my voice screaming to rid of them! I’m also going to my local shelter to adopt a pup!

although I am relieved my state has banned gassing these poor animals, I am disgusted that so many more states either don't have any legislation against it or still gas their animals without fail. the fact that the animals suffer makes it even worse for me. it's disgusting that we, as humans, would even consider gassing as a good way to end an animal's life (whether it be from illness, injury, or those shelters that limit the animal's adopting time, which is also cruel). gassing makes the animals suffer horribly. they don't deserve this. NOTHING deserves to suffer like that.

No offence, but if you call an animal shelter and tell them to stop using the gas chambers, or better yet to stop killing their animals altogether, here's what they'll say in response: "We'd love to, but we're overwhelmed by the sheer number of animals we take in every year, and we're understaffed and underfunded. Some people just dump their unwanted pets right on our doorstep, just to avoid having to pay a small deposit fee (typically about 25 dollars). We have no choice but to euthanize them to free up space, and to do it in the cheapest way possible, which is gassing." In other words, you'll be barking up the wrong tree. The gas chambers are actually just a symptom of a much bigger problem: uncontrolled over-breeding. Here's what you can do: - Petition your local legislators to have them ban gassing in your state. - Support no-kill shelters with donations. - Convince your local government to better fund their animal shelters. - Spay and neuter your pets! Part of the problem is uncontrolled breeding, leading to overpopulation and unwanted animals. These are the animals that end up being killed in the gas chambers of shelters. Spaying and neutering also has health benefits for your pets, so it's doubly recommended. - Support spay and neuter programs for stray animals. - Do not buy your pets from pets stores. These usually come from puppy mills, one of the main contributors to the overpopulation problem. Adopt from shelters instead. Hobby breeders are a good option as well, because they tend to put a lot of effort into socialising your puppy for you. - Petition your local legislators to ban puppy mills in your state, or at least to greatly increase minimal health and care standards, and to impose a strict yearly quota for the number of litters they may produce, and to restrict the total number of puppy mills that may exist in a state at any given time. This will decrease their output, increase the health of the puppies, and drive up their prices for an animal, all of which are good things. If an animal is more expensive to purchase, people will be less tempted to buy one on a whim, only to be disappointed by all the responsibilities of pet ownership later down the road. - Demand that official inspectors do a more thorough job of inspecting the conditions of shelters, and more importantly of puppy mills. As is the case for shelters, inspection offices are understaffed and overworked, and so they often do cursory reviews at best. This needs to change. - Convince everyone you know to do these things as well.

But dogs are colorblind
@cacatr44958 жыл бұрын
If that's true, it has no bearing on swiping a paintbrush across paper in passing. The dog didn't choose the colors!

Actually not all dogs are colorblind. It's a common misconception.

I was watching another video with a dog painting as well, but because the dog owner was chinese I see all these racist and stupid comment saying he abused the dog and what not, Wow really...
@cacatr44958 жыл бұрын
In that video, the wooden cross-piece attached to the paintbrush, was held in the dog's mouth forcibly, because during the video, the Beagle opened his mouth to drop it, and it remained in the dog's mouth. Because of this, we can know the man was forcing the dog, and that the dog didn't want to have the thing in his mouth.
