24GB would be good for LLMs, but I'm not sure if Intel GPUs are supported by the current tooling or if they have the compute power for it. but I think local LLMs would be a great use for such a card.

A770 was announced after three months of A370 was released. So if we don't hear any news, rumours, leaks and updates by April, then we can assume that B770/B780 is cancelled and they skip to C series.

I'd love to see intel try with a b580 24gb, although the 12gb suits most enthousiast already B580 24gb could probably cost up to 600 in Europe if they make productivity drivers work on it For video editing with quicksync, their codec library and everything else, I'd wager they can undercut the 7900 xt by 100€ and slightly undercut a 4070 It'd still not be enough to dethrone Nvidia in AI tho, from what I understand, you'd need a 32gb memory pool for that. For that they'd need that b770 with a large memory pool on the cheap

I got my 3090 for $600, so if the card costs $500+ that's just way too expensive. It would have the same amount of memory, but lower bandwidth if it's a 192 bit bus, and the GPU itself is like 2 times weaker

for me personally its not worth upgrading untill the gpu is cheap, has atleast over 30 tflops and alot of vram. im on a 2080 super thats like 12 tflops -ish so its not rly worth putting out money atm for like the b580 which is 13 tflops.

It doesn't look like a match for B580 24gb with 192 bit bus. Also Xe2 20 cores is too little for that VRAM. I can't see it. Just doesn't look right. But as B780 Xe2 32 or 40 24gb with 384 bit bus it makes lot more sense. I think G21 is at where it ends as PCIe 4.0 x8 REBAR card. You want to take a step up first you need to utilize PCIe 5.0 x16 direct access. If you don't why have PCIe 5.0 and Arrow Lake? Just linking the dots. I see this as a hype fake rumour to create clickbait. B570 is about to launch and INTEL needs something to keep the talk going. People are now anticipating for something bigger. People have hope and even B580 with 24gb would get them talking. But what if giving this hype you actually announce something that is even bigger? This is how I see it and hope I'm right. Announcing B780 Xe2 (32/40?) 24gb VRAM 384 bit bus and B770 Xe2 (28/32?) 16gb 256 bit bus instead. And if $450-550 it would take all of the Nvidia and AMD thunder at 2025 CES (Wed, 8 Jan 2025 - Sat, 11 Jan 2025). INTEL looking at the cards and saying "I'm all in". That would be fun. High stakes poker game. 😆🤣😎

Its not a b580 die as 24GB Vram paired with 2500 Cuda Cores makes no sense It must have atleast 6000 Cuda Cores to give mid level performance for Productivity and AI Workloads Price then can be adjusted to 700 or even 800 Dollars

it's garbage tell the people it will run like a 1660 super without rebar, so if you try an use this card without a modern cpu it will run like poo so you will need a new cpu, not so cheap after all

Obviously without rebar it’s garbage. I posted this before I saw the new testing. It seems it has quite substantial driver overhead and I don’t know if this is present on alchemist cards. Hopefully they can get it ironed out

You should do your research. It’s using GDDR6. There is no 3GB modules for GDDR6. That’s only for GDDR7. You lose.
