this guy loves pulling his jackets down, maybe he should have bought a longer one?
@jamiemalec8352 жыл бұрын
I do indeed, im 6ft but betas are cropped so I do pull them down. This is why I prefer my LEAF alpha and Alpha AR cause it’s a longer cut.

do you think 120 is a fair price for a vintage sidewinder with the diagonal zipper and side logos?

Hey, I like your content and hope you continue with this channel. But you have to improve your audio! The background music is way to loud and your voice is to quiet. It is very hard to understand what you are saying.
@gepettowins2 жыл бұрын
yup. a couple cheap lavelier mics would go a long way. the overall volume level is mad quiet, so some pseudo-mastering would help as well

Thinking about getting a Beta LT myself, I think the AR is just overkill and I’m not a huge fan of the drop hood
@jamiemalec8353 жыл бұрын
This is why I would choose the Alpha AR over the Beta AR, but again a beta LT would be an awesome jacket 🍃
@Seti123453 жыл бұрын
@@jamiemalec835 the Alpha AR is cool and all but for everyday use the chest pockets are just plain awkward
@BigBubbaaa3 жыл бұрын
I own both the beta lt and beta ar. I love both for different reasons, I mainly use the LT for chilly and rainy spring, summer and fall days where the temperatures range from 30F-60F. The one thing I wish the LT had was the pit zippers like the AR. The AR is great for when I’m doing long hikes or backpacking in the winter but it can get quite hot especially while moving around and having extra layers underneath. I also do own a alpha jacket but rarely wear it unless the temps outside are super super cold
@Seti123453 жыл бұрын
@@BigBubbaaa I’m only really gonna use it for urban wear and the occasional hike, do you think the new model of Beta LT is the way to go? I’m in England too so doesn’t get too freezing cold in winters but a lot of rain
@jamiemalec8353 жыл бұрын
@@Seti12345 Alpha pockets are perfect for me I use trouser pockets for my hands, jacket pockets to store stuff. Completely agree with Ri here - AR comes into action on colder temps/heavier precipitation, or when I’m going to a forrest where I want more durability. An LT will be perfect for you if it’s for urban use and lighter hikes!

Hey man keep up the content! I was wondering what would be best for rainy weather and wind (and not much activity )nothing too extreme but also want it to be pretty light ? What would you Recommend ?
@homeofhiking39752 жыл бұрын
Arc'teryx's Zeta line is good for that. Also perhaps a Beta SL (stands for superlight!). Hope this helps!
@lookingbehind63353 жыл бұрын
These jackets are not designed for serious outdoor activities. They are for walking around town, starting your vehicle and crossing parking lots. The material is very fragile and super thin. Rips and holes are unavoidable unless you handle them like crystal glass. Also, the majority of the company is Chinese owned. Only a very small % is Canadian.
@jamiemalec8352 жыл бұрын
I agree with this regarding paclite, but AR models are solid. Can go thru a forrest no worries
