2:05 NY, I have never worked on a fight stick before, but I have electronics and car repair experience. To me, it seems like the better way to swap the joystick is 1.Remove the wiring harness connector 2.use a flathead screw drive to hold the shaft and take off the balltop 3.remove the four philips screws and remove joystick assembly. this way we don't need to deal with wobbly joystick when disconnecting the wiring harness and balltop. also, wiring harness should be the first thing to disconnect when working on electronics to prevent accidental damage. You are 100% right when it comes to swapping the buttons - only work on one button at a time with one set of wiring to worry about. Just like spark plug wires in a car. Great content again! Thanks for the info.

This is exactly the same arcade stick that i mentioned in the comments to your other video. Once it arrives, i'll have to test it and see how the Sanwa parts feel VS my modded (2lb spring) Hori RAP V(with stock hayabusa buttons). Can't wait for it to ship! Reason i got it (apart from wanting to try Sanwa on a 2nd stick) is that my Hori RAP V was giving me some ghosting inputs in some PS3 Tekken games , but since it's the Switch/PC version, i'm guessing it's a compatibility problem with PS3, since it never had that problem in any emulator/Steam/Switch game. So this Ps3/PC stick will be servicing me there.

EDIT: the fightstick I'm using is a Soul Calibur V ps3 Hori. It came around 2012. Every part is extremely tight, so be careful. Depending on your Hori Sanwa joystick, it might have a stronger safeguard for the connector. It's hard to describe but let's just say it needs a bit more strength to disconnect, because the female connector has a plastic hand protruding from the top so it holds onto the male connector firmly. This exclusively requires the flathead, since you need to loosen that grip and boom, it finally disconnects.

Hey there JT. I use to play SFII at the arcade when I was a kid and 3 months ago I decided to get an arcade stick to play at Fightcade. Been reconecting to gaming, playing SSF2T there ever since. For my surprise the stick is allready showing a problem. diagonal up/right is not perfect. Many times the command is readed as UP only (so a diagonal jump becomes a neutral jump). Do you think it's allready a metter of replacing stuff? Or maybe just cleaning? My stick is Madcatz FightstickPRO SF vs Tekken. Thanks for the attention.
@JoystickNY5 жыл бұрын
APOENA - Allnite Music i think replacing the lever should fix the issue, i would recommend buying a sanwa JLF lever from amazon and replacing it. If its fixed. Your good, if it doesnt fix it, you have 30 days to return the part. Usually with these lever, it does break over time. That would be the easiest method. Method #2. You can buy a sanwa JLF micro switch Pcb, and replace that, that is basically the directional switch part on your lever. But with shipping and all, you are looking at almost 20$. So you might as well go for the first method which you get more stuff for the future if anything else breaks. Method #3. I dont recommend it, because it takes too much time for something so small. And you need to know soldering, You can just buy the micro switches for like 3$ replace the pin-pointed issue. Hope this helps. And thank you for dropping by 👍❤️🙏🕹

What is the best stick for a guy with small hands? I would like my buttons to be really close to each other. Another question is, are there any sticks without clicking sound on buttons and shaft?
@JoystickNY5 жыл бұрын
unfortunately All the sticks and buttons are standard size, i think only custom sticks are able to be really close to each other, but i recommend getting a standard stick because you will get used to it, and if you ever go to any arcades or using someones elses stick, you will be good at it. there are quiet sanwa buttons, they are alittle bit quieter, for shaft, and joystick, i think the happ stick doesnt have a clicking noise, double check it tho. But i don recommend happ sticks for fighting games.

🕹 ⬇️↘️➡️🔴🔵⚪️ Btw, someone else ask me what is the best stick for recent years, let me paste my answer here for you, hope it helps in your controller journey fritz the dog 😃 thats a great question, in my opinion, i think the best arcade stick is the one that has all the premium parts, which most expensive arcade stick these days have. 🕹 ⬇️↘️➡️🔴🔵⚪️ if they have all the same parts, whether is a madcatz, razer, hori, qanba, i think they will be all the same. 🕹 ⬇️↘️➡️🔴🔵⚪️ On top of that,you just have to find the style you like, the shape that fits your wrist, and if you like the metal or plastic, led lights or not, all those extra features prob wont affect game play that much, but sticking with the same stick is going to help, if you use a 150$ stick for 3 whole year, and then get a 300$ stick, you are still going to play better on that 150$ stick in the short term, muscle memory does help. 🕹 ⬇️↘️➡️🔴🔵⚪️ Lastly i want to give you some facts, daigo and justin wong have been using the madcatz TE2 arcade stick for many years, then justin wong move on to qanba for abit, now he is on victrix. 🕹 ⬇️↘️➡️🔴🔵⚪️ Xian and infiltration uses razer panthera and atrox. 🕹 ⬇️↘️➡️🔴🔵⚪️ Many pro tekken players uses hori rap4, etokki omni, and many uses the qanba obsidian. 🕹 ⬇️↘️➡️🔴🔵⚪️ ----- And ----- Tokido, mago, chris-g, bonchan, momochi, fchamp, fuudo, gamerbee, pr-balrog, Kbrad ---All uses madcatz TE2. 🕹 ⬇️↘️➡️🔴🔵⚪️ And all the pro pad players use the ps4 controller. 🎮

@@JoystickNY Sounds great, I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again for responding. So far the stick feels great with a seimitzu joystick and sanwa buttons. Nice upgrade.

I switched my buttons but now none of the wires correspond with the right button like the wire for square registers as 3 and it’s in its right spot

What happen to the tabs? Broken?
@ramiabdalla26613 жыл бұрын
@@JoystickNY oh no, at this point I realized my mistake, for the first button I tried to remove, I tried taking out the button the wrong way, pushing the tabs too far in. I realized my mistake tho and everything is fine. thanks for checking in though :)
