@MeatEatingVegan7775 жыл бұрын
Nintendo innovates in some ways and brings us fantastic games. However, their hardware has been about a generation behind since the wii. The wii's graphics were almost the same as the gamecube, with some advances. Though, not enough for a next generation console at the time. Graphics aren't everything, but there's reasons why Nintendo is not often considered when it comes to getting a new console. Their hardware and graphics are often as advanced as the past generation. So why spend sooo much money on a new console with hardware and graphics that have been surpassed by the competition? (I don't necessarily think that way. I love Nintendo, but I see their faults.) Also, lack of mature games and lack of third party support doesn't help. Luckily, the switch has been turning things around for Nintendo. Someday, I hope they realize that advanced hardware actually does matter. Their many popular series are great, but it's not enough to get the interest of past Nintendo fans that have moved on, or people that are curious about owning a Nintendo console, but aren't convinced as to why they should.

I used to play this in college. Missed many a class when they installed this in the student union. Gets very repetitive after you’ve gone through the challengers several times. Sometimes they’d get tougher and faster, but eventually you could be patient and anticipate their punches and just sit back and counter punch. Got to the point where I could turn it over a million. Very upset that scores only went up to 6 digits, and then looped back to 0. Had to get it close to a million and then lose so that my score was as close to a million as possible without going over. Best tip I got that allowed me to beat the game, set the joystick up or down, and then leave it in a neutral position. Made it so that I could duck their punches quicker.

This game blew my mind when I saw it at Chuck E Cheese back in the day. We went from Space Invaders to Pac-Man to Donkey Kong. This game was so far ahead we had to wait until the 16 bit era to see this version ported.

They had this at Chuck E Cheese? Never saw it there, even if I often went to them back in the day. For the record, this particular game didn't even get an official console port, until the Switch. And no, Super Punch-Out for the Super N.E.S. doesn't exactly count for that matter either.

@@freakyfornash Super Punch Out was very similar in many ways and had the look of 3rd person perspective down very well. It was based off the arcade. But you are right it wasn't till even much later we got a real port. But yes of games that were not Dragons Lair of Space Ace, Punch Out was the most impressive eye candy I can remember. Graphics and sound were beyond what we could ever imagine as being top notch.

@@AngryCalvin Oh yeah, and this game truly was amazing for it's time too. That being even if Mike Tyson's Punch-Out for the original N.E.S. was by far the most well known, despite having a lot of differences from the original arcade game. There was also a revamped port of the arcade version of Super Punch-Out, called Frank Bruno's Boxing for the Commodore 64, albeit never got a stateside release though.

@@freakyfornash That would have been interesting. C64 was a very an impressive system. I had a Texas Instruments Home Computer and my friends had a Atari 800, and a C64. They all had really good arcade ports for the time. Too bad the game crash devastated what home computers could have been. Home computer consoles are one of my greatest memories in gaming.

@@AngryCalvin And the game looked pretty good to an extent. Just didn't play well though. I know many seemed kind of lukewarm about Super Punch-Out on the Super N.E.S. it seemed. That despite the good reviews it got, and followed the spirit of the original arcade games, which Mike Tyson's P.O. didn't exactly do though.

This games was So Much Fun...I spent many many hours playing the game. Mr Sandman was tough and after you became Champion he would hit you 2 or 3 times if you did not dodge😀. Great Fun

I want to play this and super punch out very badly but it sucks they still don't make arcade machines like these anymore, I would have so much fun trying to get the highest score and lasting long on this game.

THEY NEED TO MAKE A NEW ARCADE PUNCH-OUT. I would totally play it and watch other people play it

Yeah, on Nintendo DS, Mike Tyson's Punch-out sucks. I think that the DS is more powerful than the arcade machine. The problem is the most of the peoples that knows original Punch-out doesn't own or do not play portable video games consoles. So Nintendo probably lose money with it.

+john smith Nintendo never put up superior arcade games! They just give you the inferior version of the games via ports from their consoles! Damn Shame knowing how technology advance and Nintendo can give us the arcade version with no problem but want to give us version of ports from consoles that we know is inferior.. not talking about the games that was consoles only! I can live with consoles only games in which I love some of them by the way!

Pizza Pasta... Es el nombre más poco inspirado que he visto en mi vida para un italiano. ¿No podrían haberlo llamado, no sé, Luigi Macarroni, por ejemplo?

I can't tell what's more hilarious. That bell sound effect, the not so subtle racism, or Mac's face. Either way this looks pretty rad.

I've watched this game for years and I've just now noticed Donkey Kong, Mario, DK Jr. and I'm guessing Luigi (or another Jumpman next to him) in the audience
