Thanks buddy! This is a game that gets forgotten about and probably for good reason. It's cool and all but it's not some game most people are going to talk about 30 years later for being amazing or really terrible, it's just a decent game for its time.

Gain ground is what I tried to do on my wedding night. Yes I’ve used this before most notably w ten yard fight. I’m sick cut me a break!

I didn't discover Gain Ground until into the 00s, but it's a fun game. I've mostly played the Genesis version, but have tried out the arcade version and a little bit of this SMS port. It's pretty good. Looks and sounds good and plays well enough. It doesn't hold up versus the Arcade nor Genesis versions, but it's pretty decent for the system.

I have the same thoughts on these ports as you do. The SMS port is pretty good for what it is but if given the choice between that, the Genesis or arcade version it's always going to take 3rd place.

Hey! I hope all is well:) The controls on the SMS port were pretty hard. Maybe it's just me but I've always found the controls on any port of this game to be a little clunky.

Looks like Commando but easier. SMS holds strong on this one! I have never heard of this game, looks pretty fun overall. Winner: Arcade Commando is a game I love to hate, so to see a game like it and can advance in is a win! I am wondering if it had rotory controls, looks like that would work well with this game. Nice job like always buddy!

I was looking at some pictures and I think it did have rotary controller which makes sense now as to why I found the controls to be really stiff in MAME. The SMS port holds its own though to be honest it's not a game that I love. Thanks for watching my friend!
