Hi all, nice video. getting my first cabinet today, a gen1 galaga. Unfortunately Berry doesn't offer flashing service anymore plus I live in the middle east. Can anybody give me any clue or info how to do it on my own? I do micro electronic repairing, so PCB flashing, soldering etc etc is not a problem for me. Thanks

I had Berry Berry Sneaky add Tempest Tubes to the main menu, so I don't have to go through the MAME menu. I also uploaded some game play of Tempest Tubes on my KZbin channel; it is harder than classic Tempest, but a lot of fun.

Great video. I got this done to my asteroids a few months back. They did a nice job. Question what settings do you use for arkanoid? I can’t seem to get it right. I also have the GRS spinner. Thank you.

Excellent question about the Spinner Settings (Speed / Sensitivity). I'm doing more research on that topic...as I can't determine if it's the Settings OR I "suck" at the game OR both :-) I will update the DESCRIPTION section of this video when I determine the "best" settings (for me) on the different Spinner Games. Right now, the DEFAULT values for Tempest, Major Havoc, Teetor Torture, Boxing Bugs and Cameltry are good (for me). I'm still struggling with the settings for Super Breakout and Arkanoid.

Again, its cheaper and more efficient, just to get them to do the USB mod. once you have a keyboard, you can adjust all the MAME settings, and play hundreds of games, and not just a few. later -1

Of course. Space Invaders, Final Fight and early MK are Gen1. But I never heard of a flashed MK. But I seen flashed FF.

you are completely missing out on the variants, and other roms. tetris tubes has completely different levels, which are harder and more challenging. tournament arkanoid is a completely different game. you are really missing some of the best parts, they aren't just clones. later -1

OK 👌🏻- thanks for that info - I will check into them. I suck at Arkanoud & Super Breakout - some of which might be I still need to get the Spinner Speed & Sensitivity dialed in.

@@scottfarrar3441 I played around with the spinner settings for Arkanoid and Super Breakout, but unfortunately, I couldn't get them to play well - which is kind of a bummer.

@@daviddeming1916 - Yes 👍 for any PCB Flashed, use the GALAGA FAST Fire Service. I can’t speak for all PCBs but on the Asteroids PCB the High Scores are not saved - for that to occur a battery supply is needed and I believe that does not exist on any of the Gen 1 PCBs.
