Wow, a lot of this is wrong. 1.Tricell and Umbrella are two separate companies. Their only connection being that Tricell stole a ton of U's research and that they were both a part of the Federation of Pharmaceutical Companies. 2. Umbrella wasn't behind Ada stealing the Las Plagas. Umbrella had gone bankrupt by that point and was out of the picture. Ada's boss was Wesker. He wanted to "rebuild" Umbrella, but he kinda abandons that when he decides to become a god in RE5. 3. Ashford has nothing to do with Tricell, he was totally Umbrella. 4. Umbrella trying steal the G-Virus from Dr. Birken in RE2 causes the Raccoon City Outbreak, not runaway monsters from the mansion. 5. Neo Umbrella doesn't kill the President with the C-Virus, they only take credit for it. 6. Las Plagas in RE4 is not a strain of the Progenitor Virus.

That would fail, you can't just mix viruses as unique as the ones in resident evil. For example, the G virus heals every little bit of damage the host takes, unless the host is fully destroyed. The c virus causes internal organs to overheat but is kept alive by the virus itself. If G and C were combined with others then G would heal the damage C causes, causing C to cause an insane amount of damage killing the host. This is just G and C. Think of all of the others that will contradict themselves.

So yeah, this game needs to have some sort of things that link to other games. Keep in mind, the movies were Retconned as part of the storyline... with the first movie taking place prior to the first game... and then every movie afterwards taking place in between the games. The movies add more to the story... such as all your actions in the first game were for nought as you are immediately discredited after those events. With a HUGE smear campaign done to the heroes afterwards (this is part of why the Umbrella Corp is able to work out for so much longer than that)
