Oh yeah, I was there... Bussin' tables, washin' dishes, barbackin' kegs across a crowded dance floor, prep cookin', slingin' Chicago-style deep-dish pizzas, cookin' on the line... Going home at three in the morning and doing some St. Pauli Girl watching Night Flight until I fell asleep, waking up around one the next afternoon and heading to work at four to do it again. I may have been working poor back then, but at least I was younger. Working poor at my present age hurts more...

@reggiekray723 Жыл бұрын
Back in the day the radio companies an DJs didn't like Duran Duran s side projects. They thought DD should write pop songs but they had so much more gravitas and potential. Despite being hugely successful and ''the band of the Eighties ' they were massively underated, probably because of the teen pop sensation thing. I am glad they are still around and Future Past is as creative and imaginative as any other album in the last 10 years.

When I was clearing it out, I noticed a portion of my records were missing. They knew what they were doing, too, because they ripped off my Manhunter OST(very rare, and a brilliant film, too!), my original (imported, mind you!)Beggars Banquet label Best of Bauhaus, and the 12" single of With Or Without You. Fuckers!  So, nothing later than 1990 gets played in my place. I feel like the character played by Kevin Kline in The Big Chill, hangs on the stuff that made him so happy when he was at Uni. I completely empathise with him...and the shit he takes from his friends for it, too. Awesome music, too...
