Hertfordshire Village Walks (Part 4): Standon to Much Hadham

The fourth in our series of Hertfordshire walks takes us from the village of Standon, in East Herts. along the course of the old Buntingford Railway for several miles before we divert and head to the charming and attractive villahe of Much Hadham. We then walk out to neighbouring Perry Green, which is home to the Henry Moore Foundation. This walk took over eight hours and covered fifteen miles.

I love Standon I grew up there. @1:20 there appears to be a white apparition moving from left to right in the ground floor window of the old school house. I’ve watched it many times on my huge 42 inch TV and that doesn’t look like a person walking past the window more like a ghostly figure the way it looks and moves. There are reports of ghostly apparitions within that area and in The Star pub plus it’s by the church yard which can increase sightings. I’ve lived in Standon over 42 years and I have witnessed a ghostly apparition inside the church itself when I was a teenager. The figure was clear to see through the key hole of the church and we decided to enter to get a closer look and the figure vanished. It was a lady in white with long black hair standing by the stand the vicar reads off and she was no where to be seen when we went inside.

@@hondain I knew you’d be impressed. I know how sceptical you are on the paranormal subject. what you see is what you get nothing spooky was edited into this. I’ve been a fan of the paranormal since I was young and I’m well used to watching spooky stuff and not afraid of the dark or even walking in the woods at night alone with my dog but I will confess I’d not want to spend the night in that building after this, no sir😂

Sylvie does well despite the fact that she's 70 years old. Sometimes I struggle to catch up with her. I used to do this on my own but when Sylvie was diagnosed with slightly high blood pressure I suggested she come walk with me. After a month her blood pressure went down to normal.
