Yeah, but I guess Jim understood that part of his rage was personal and not something Russo, Herd, Dunn or Bichoff were doing just to screw with him personally (maybe a little), and the threats of violence and blood usually came from Corny lmao, but their actions were against Jim ideals for TV wrestling and because he truly loves the business his hate for them just grew and grew.

When Jim starts saying "Did he ever tell JBL, this is really bothering me can you please stop?" I started laughing because it's almost word for word the same conversation I recently had with my 6 year old! That being said, I agree that sometimes you have to stick up for yourself or you will forever be walked on, but some people just don't have it in them to stand up. Mauro is very open about his bipolar disorder, I have to assume this would be something JBL knew about. When you look at it that way you stop asking why didn't Mauro just stand up for yourself, and start asking why JBL is knowingly harassing someone with a mental disorder.

I had a co-worker once who was a little like this. He managed some of my peers, but was not my manager. He would say some really insulting shit to them to amuse himself, one after another, and then laugh. My peers would just smile and take it because they didn't want to get in trouble. At one lunch after grilling his own guys and laughing, he tried to turn it on me. My response in a really serious tone "How did you make it this far in life without someone killing you? I mean, just taking a pipe and busting your head open?" Admittedly, this was a little strong of a comeback, but he caught me on a bad day. I was less than 6 months with the company, too-- he could have gotten me canned. To his credit, he laughed at my crack and said, "Hey! You're alright." I would like to say he changed after this, but he remained an obnoxious prick.

Same with this person I used to work with who had the company's leader in his pocket. He keeps complaining about my work even though he keeps giving me work that's out of my paycheck which I still struggle with because I've only been there for less than a year. Always had so ethi g to complain about everybody, even though he was only doing half the work the rest of us were doing. One day I was in a bad mood, i finally snapped and told him to stfu or do everything himself because I ain't helping him anymore He just smirked like an idiot and said that he's only joking. Talking aggressive to them could sometime work but unlike JBL, this mf'er was a scrawny "farmer" dude who couldn't dream to physically intimidate a kindergarten. So I get why you wouldn't think to do the same thing to a big bully like JBL. Also why was punching him ever an option? That sounds like a you're asking to be fired with the added bonus of being sued by somebody.

I blame the WWE more than I blame JBL for this. JBL does this shit because he knows he can get away with it and there'll never be any repercussions for him. Jim himself has mentioned on a number of occasions the way that Vince McMahon has bullied Howard Finkel with tasteless ribs over the years. And of course there's the number of times that JR was publicly humiliated on WWE TV with stuff that crossed the line between entertainment and bullying (See Dr Hiney). Yeah I would love to see more people take the approach that Joey Styles took and smack Bradshaw right in the face but the it won't be JBL that gets punished for it by the WWE it'll be the person who stood up to JBL. At the end of the day people are concerned not just for their jobs but for their future careers after WWE. Getting fired for punching a coworker (Even if that coworker deserves it) is not going to look good on anyone's CV.

Before I defended JBL due to people, myself included at one time, NOT being able to tell when he was 'working' and when he was being serious. That was BEFORE I found out about what has happened with Mauro Ranallo. WWE likes to tout that they are a publicly traded company, using that as clout when it suits their agendas - as a publicly traded company, I wonder how their investors like the idea of them covering up for an employee that Vince McMahon likes over the harassment of someone with a mental health issue, which is a MEDICAL ISSUE, not a character flaw or a sign of weakness? Harassment that has lead to a man giving up a 6 figure yearly salary rather than endure the evidently on-going abuse he's been receiving, not to mention any very real health repercussions which may have resulted or might in the future... Instead of bitching on Twitter or KZbin comments, supporters of Mauro Ranallo need to notify THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA/PRESS and even more importantly, THE SPONSORS, about WWE's attempt to sweep this under the rug!

My question is this .Where are is Vince and other managment when JBL or others are constantly bullying? Triple H should be stepping in and saying to the repeat offender ,"cut that shit out or lose your job". I am sure JBL would think twice if HHH looked him straight in the eye, JBL wouldn`t talk back, He sure wouldn`t try to menace HHH .

that "old school" excuse only works when it goes both ways. in the real old school the promoter wouldnt protect a bully from a receipt just cause he was a stooge. and that appears to be the situation in the wwe. i have a feeling that jbl's behavior has been brought to the attention of the front office more than once, but jbl's relationship with vince killed any complaint or corrective action. and brian is right, hawk/bradshaw/jbl came up in the 90s, when there were only two promotions in the US. there is nothing old school about his experience. i could never imagine lance russell treating anyone this way, much less dave brown.

given when Joey put JBL flat on his ass he didn't face any repercussions it seems the WWE still allows you handle this like a man when reason and logic fail tell him once stop of I am gonna hit you if he doesn't listen follow through either with a weapon or your bare hands at that point the bully usually stops.

Mauro is a professional and you don't solve issues like this in the workplace with violence especially if you're not a violent guy which Mauro doesn't seem to be. JBL is a POS. Further, any company that publicizes itself as being anti-bullying should keep to that. Brian right. Ribbing is one thing. Bullying and making it your mission to make people are unacceptable and how the WWE didn't get into deep $#!+ after they didn't fire JBL for months after his bullying someone afflicted with bi-polar is shocking to me. And Jim's right: How it went as far as it did without the the WWE stepping in is also a big question. Plus, as the WWE showed with Del Rio slapping that idiot who made the off color comment to him, there's a problem with taking matters into your own hands.

I get it, you don’t want to have an environment where assault is the only solution, or is a solution that is on the table, but at the same time, when you have this shit happening with the same guy, it’s time to get him out. Oh for Christs sake, he was playing "heel announcer" on a television show. Since when is that "bullying". You know that professional wrestling has good guys ("babyfaces") and bad guys ("heels"), and that the bad guys make fun of the good guys, right? Every heel announcer makes fun of the babyface announcers they work with. Listen to Corey Graves on RAW for fucks sake. He does it every week. They're actors playing roles on a television show. Wrestling isn't real. Do I really have to explain this to you? Mauro should have shot back if it hurt his sensitive feelings. I'm sure JBL would respect him a lot more if he stood up for himself. I know Vince McMahon would respect Mauro a lot more if he stood up for himself, because it's well known that Vince likes people who stand up for themself.

ccmanize Mauro was punked by Mirko Cro Cop in an interview a long time ago and there's a real sad moment when he told his crew "no one stood up for me". I know is easy to say to him to have balls but he can't take that stand because depression is so, so ruthless when you don't have control over things. I don't think JBL or WWE are wrong in making fun of him because he can't live in a bubble, but when someone does not understand a mental sickness it can turn ugly.

I think the real issue is the massive hypocrisy - they run those Be A Star ads constantly. It's not about ON-SCREEN dynamics between faces and heels, it's about backstage, real world, outside of the "WWE Universe" incidents. This is not performance, it's hypocrisy on a massive scale - "Hey kids, don't be bullies, but some of our top employees got where they are by bullying their way up the ladder!"

Bart Gunn, yes - he won the Brawl for All, we saw from the Dr Death fight that if he caught you right, he could cause you some damage. Steve Blackman, yes - the guy may have been a fair bit smaller than Bradshaw but was extensively trained in martial arts and was a legit tough guy. Joey Styles was a 5'7 commentator who came from a white collar background and had no ring experience.
