I love Jim cornette i think he's one of the best wrestling minds that the business has ever had but he's really out of touch on this no one should have to lose their livelihood because an arrogant bully has decided to make your life difficult just because he can

...question; back in the old days, the days that corny is so fond of and respects so highly, would any of the boys have treated lance russell, gordon solie, or jim ross like that? ...and if they had, what would've happened? ...cornette has a mental block about this ...he don't get it, he aint never gonna get it ...he can't break away from his anecdotal logical fallacy (ie: referring to his own personal examples as THE answer to the problem, even though his personal examples mean jack shit, because all he gave were one-off examples of times he got fucked with, he never gave one example of one person who systematically harassed and tortured him) ...and they both seem to ignore (for some reason) the fact that ranallo has clinical depression, which is a mental disorder, which tremendously affects the way he responds to and handles situations ...it's become cliche to say this, but, corny really is stuck in the old days ...that kind of locker-room mentality has fallen out of favor, things are not what they used to be, the people are not who they used to be ...back in the old days, if you got into the wrestling business, there was an expectation that you'd have to put up with certain "hi-jinks" and alpha-male bullshit, but times have changed, wrestling is'nt "real" or carny anymore, now it's all corporate and entertainment, and you don't get people coming into this major corporation expecting to be fucked with on that level ...wrestling is a television show now, plain & simple, and if one of the stars of NCIS was acting the way JBL does, he'd've been fired a long time ago (we've seen it happen), hell some dude who works at TGIfridays who acted like that would've been fired ...look, on some level, i feel the same way cornette does; back in the day, i was a bouncer for many years, i worked in bars & nightclubs, we did'nt have an HR dept., in that environment, if someone was fucking with you that person got dealt with, and i have definitely carried that mentality with me into other professions, BUT, that tactic does'nt always work in the corporate world, and not everyone is joey styles, mauro ranallo simply is not is not the kind of guy who's gonna get into any kind of confront with someone like JBL, and you know what? HE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO!!! part of mauro ranallo's work day should not have to consist of being harrassed and bullied and getting into confrontations with the employee who constantly fucks with him!!! ...corny has old-school blinders on when it comes to this, and this simple logic escapes him.

I have to agree with Corny’s method of dealing with bullies here - you may not be able to fight them, but you can still get your point across that you won’t take shit from them too! No one is invincible, and by hook or by crook can be taken down - telling a bully what you will do to him if he doesn’t stop shows that you are willing to stand up for yourself and will USUALLY mean you will stop being f**ked with

In JBL's favor and to his considerable credit, I admit he can generate enough heat to keep his name in the lexicon long after cumulative injuries sidelined him as a physical performer. Otherwise, read my comment below. ;-) Love ya, Jim, AND I'm an outsider (two strikes before I even swing!) but I agree with Brian here. JBL is emotionally a 12 year old. There's a lot of it about. It's easy to hide in Pro-Wrusslin', where the 12 year old mentality is nurtured and pushed to prominence. Send him to a psychiatrist for screening and they'll advise the company to rein him in. I'm not trolling. I have considerable experience with this paradigm*. You see, harassing others validates him. He gets ATTENTION. He is IMPORTANT. See what I mean? An emotional 12 year old. If anything, a seasoned veteran should be helping to create and promote a safe, sensible, rewarding, and reinforcing, community of "subcontractors" . It helps the business. In fact; it's GOOD for business. JBL does the opposite and that's BAD for business. Of course Der Grosser Mensch likes him; he lives vicariously THROUGH the man. *Been in Pro--Music over 40 years. Seen it. Suffered it. Was it. By way of compensation for all the pointless assholes whose pleasure is upsetting others, my personality has evolved over time to the point where folks recoil as if I'm a carbon arc lamp and act accordingly. No one confronts me anymore, but they still talk behind my back. And that is as it should be.

Two words, Jim: Santino Morella. When a physical man threatens a non physical man . . . it's wrong. It's inappropriate. And it sucks to be forced into a corner where you must live in his sick world in order to maintain employment.

No but the point of the debate is ‘Is Bradshaw a Bully?” It’s not about ragging on the guy’s wife. That’s an extreme cheap shot and it’s climbing down to the level you’re placing him at

There is a difference between ribbing and just being an a*sh*le. Locking your bag shut with a lock or throwing someone's clothes in the shower. That is one thing,that is ribbing. Shitting in someone's bag,messing with someone on a daily basis,constantly,to just ruin someone's life. It Isn't Funny A at Certain Point. I remember a rocket scientist on Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader. He konked out on The Kindergarten question. You have to expect a little teasing something like that. A couple of days you grin laugh at it get through it the best you can. Months later and that is still a thing? The guy finally had to quit his job.When is the cutoff. When does it stop being"Old School"messing with rookies to someone just being a jerk?
@marcleon15133 жыл бұрын

Sorry Jim, backstage in the wrestling business isn’t anything what it’s like in a regular job. If I punched one of my chefs in the face, I’d be fired and probably sued. Sorry Jim, the wrestling business is much different then any other. My advice is if the wrestlers wants to pull a ‘rib’ on someone, only do it to a fellow WRESTLER

If some of the boys like ribbing each other or love to get into locker room brawls, then fine, have at it. If any employee within the company has a problem with being hazed AND isn't being in any way disrespectful or entitled around the locker room, then just leave them the fuck alone, simple as that. Flair, Austin, Bret and Taker are what any fan would describe as a man's man, yet you never hear about any of them having a reputation for straight up bullying colleagues.

The thing is, not many people are like Jim Cornette; just about everybody, who has ever known him, knows that, if he either threatens to cave your head in with a baseball bat, or shoot you, in no way is he being hyperbolic. Other people might not have that kind of thing in them…for which we all should be very grateful; I think the world- and even the universe itself, can only handle one Jim Cornette at a time haha.
