Amumu has barrels any lore so we don’t know much about him. All we know is that he is a living mummy that wants to find friends but he has a curse over him that makes it so that everything he touches begins to quickly decay and die. Since all life that he comes into contact with dies he is unable to find anyone who would not be afraid of him, let alone become his friend. That’s kinda all we know.

0:26 yep x: 1:37 yes, one of the OG (I think? at least pretty early) they didn't have Champion Theme songs back then, so they made one later for Amumu, which is this 3:19 this refernces a skill, which is a continues aoe around him which is him crying, and then the Wicked Trantrum, a huge aoe, stunning everyone in it dealing a lot of dmg (if built with dmg, can also be built as tank) 3:32 btw, the singer is Christian (the one from Arcane) there is also a behind the scenes of this i believe. 4:11 yep Amumu can never make friends, so in splashart of skinlines where a group of champions are in one picture, he always gets left out (for example everyone is celebrating Xmas inside the home, and he looks in from outside)

Fucking love Amumu. I quite often played him. This song and cinematic always makes me cry. 😭 Incredibly cute champion. I would hug him even if I died. Worth. Also, one of his skills is him crying, and it's a pool around him that damages enemy champions.

Amumu is most definitely the saddest character in all of leagues lore. He is cursed that anything near or that touches him will die or fall to ruin, the curse is so strong that not even death itself will come near him, making him immortal. So for 1000s of years he has been in a constant state of misery and anguish with no hope of ever escaping his fate, he can't even kill himself to end his misery. Its honestly quite dark and sad that there seems to be no resolution for him and his endless misery.
