The white bear in The Call you saw is actually the Ursine, a tribe that worships Volibear and they can transform into bear-human chimeras. The gigantic shadow in the cloud represents Volibear and his actual size. Volibear is the god of storms and war. Those were the Ursine in the cinematic. They are basically shamans that channel the power of Volibear. Volibear is actually pretty big. The skin that you guys thought was so cool, The Thousand Pierced Bear, is how he actually looks right now in lore. His splash art and default skin is how he looked when he was young and how he imagines himself to still look. We were really close to getting it as the default skin, but they thought it was too different from before the rework, so they made his default skin not current lore accurate, but gave out his lore accurate skin for free when the rework went live. Him and his siblings are the Primal Gods. Ancient beings of immense power.

Either which way, the story I told about them deciding to go with the current default skin over the thousand pierced bear is true. That comes directly from Riot, but it is years old and I have no idea where I can get the receipts to confirm it.

When Voli says things like Valhir and Voorijard, he’s speaking in the actual tongue of the Freljord, the ancient language they used ages ago. So Valhir IS Volibear, Volibear being the modern way of saying his name. The Voorijard is the old name for the Freljord, and the Vrestrom is the first storm. Also he and Ornn hum because their theme songs are actually their tribes songs for worshipping them. They’re some of the only champs whose themes are canon within the actual world. Avarosans are Ashe’s tribe and includes Braum and Tryndamere. Winter’s Claw is Sejuani’s tribe with Olaf and Udyr. Winter’s Claw is Lissandra’s tribe. Also by the way in The Call, the bear guy you see is not Volibear, that’s one of his Ursine worshippers. That massive silhouette in the stormclouds? THATS Voli, or at least his presence

So, as some of the comments said, Voli is a god, same as Ornn and Anivia. They are referred as primal gods of the Freljord, they kind of "shaped" the landscape of the zone. Ornn has a pretty tragic backstory but his voicelines on YT are wierd, I don't recomend watching the skin spotlights video. I would like to see what you two have to say about Swain. He's one of the leaders of Noxus. Dope video btw!

Volibear and his siblings (the other gods like Ornn and Anivia) are actually huge, like mountain level and they are demi-gods, also his wendigo lookin skin at 37:36 is how his followers see him (like his true form) they call him The Thousand Pierced Bear and you can see all the swords in his back from all the battles hes been in. Well i dont know if someone wrote it but the quote towards zilean is based on the creators from zilean and volibear. they both didnt like the idea of the others champions and thats why they had a small intereaction if they are both in game but in opposite team. the secret passive name for volöibears name was Chronokeeper Hater and info box was Not even Zilean could keep an armored Bear out of the league of legends. and for zilean it was: Armored Bear hater and In my day we would never have allowed an armored bear into the league of legends. they had even some special interactions and both got 11 extra gold if they got killed by the other

you can watch the voice actor the did fiddlesticks. he teaches how to do the voice. the only thing done to his voice is to connect some voice lines. doing fiddle stick voice lines can physically put a strain on you, so the longest voice lines were 2 or more separate recordings put together. fiddlestick voice is the voice actor's work, with no post-production changes or tune-ups.

The bear in the cinematic wasn't Volibear himself. It was one of his Ursine tribe Shamans who called on his powers. Lorewise Sejuani doesn't stand much chance against Volibear he is just too big and too strong for an iceborn. Love these voice line videos tho

Ornn is the god of fire and the forge, he is represented as a ram. volibear is the god of storms and war. and their sister is anivia (the god that represents the cycle of life, death and rebirth). volibear has 8 siblings, only 3 of them have lore and a character in the universe (anivia and ornn.) of which all of them are represented by an animal. ( bear, ram, bird, boar, wildclaw, raven, seal, lynx, owl.) the whole family created a land called Vorrijaard before humans ever existed and specifically ornn and volibear created freljord together as their own. when the humans came and started to take over freljord volibear got MAD. he and Ornn wanted the humans out of their land. so they went to war. with the humans, Ornn and Volibear were always close, volibears armor was made by ornn and often repaired by ornn. Ornn never shared the same lust for war as volibear, but would always be by his brothers side when the time arouse. but then as time went on their ideals and thoughts changed. ornn wanted to live more peaceful whereas volibear never lost his hatred for humankind. when the humans came to be to powerful the gods didnt know what to do, anivia and a few of her siblings wanted to leave the humans in peace but volibear and the iron boar (no name in the lore yet) wanted to destroy the humans. Volibear and the iron boar went to ornn to make armor for their armies, but ornn refused. he didnt approve of his brothers war and didnt want to be apart of it, so he and his brothers fought. eventually volibear cursed ornns name and threw away the special armor made by his brother in rage. the rage only made volibear more primal and violent.. im probably missing alot but this is just off memory lol.

The ones where you say they lack intensity, is because those are the lines he says when you are just walking around and he is basically just mumbling to himself, while the attack lines are when he is fighting so they have more intensity

The "Wendigo" volibear is what he looks like lorewise. Infact that what he was supposed to look like upon the rework release but it looked too far away from what players knew he looked like so they went back to his original polar bear look. Lorewise people see him as a polar bear except for his followers.

So about the sister vs. sisters comment. I am not sure if he means Anivia alone (I'll explain that in a sec) or if he means one of the other primal gods. If, even though he says sisters plural he means Anivia, it would be because Anivia is the "Cryophoenix", the ice god who dies and is "reborn". Volibear may think of each rebirth as a new sister, a new Anivia. There are a bunch primal gods for the Freljord, but only a few have names/genders. Anivia, Volibear, Ornn you know of. There is The Iron Boar, but is talked about as "he". There is also The Seal Sister (like the animal, seal). Volibear may be referencing her, or one of the other siblings.

One reason why there are not as many sketches per say is this was a rework not a new champ. Volibear has been in league for a long time and was a lil outdated so Riot reworked him and updated his lore to make him this Demigod figure in game

Fun fact: Volibear’s interaction with Zilean is a really old inside joke, and a bit of a doozy. Zilean is named after RIOT Zileas, who said way back in the day that "an armored bear was a stupid idea that didn't fit league" and if it was up to him, it would never be a champion. So when Volibear (originally an armored bear) was released, Riot made it so if there was a Zilean and Volibear on opposite teams, they’d gain a passive. Voli’s was called “Chronokeeper hater” and Zilean would gain “Armored Bear Hater” Basically if one killed the other, the killer would get +11 gold for every kill against the other

LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! ok so volibear is one of the Gods of the Freljord he is the God of the Wilds Anivia is the Goddess of ice and snow (she is a ice phenoxy) Ornn is the god of the Forge, next is the Iron Boar we still dont have much info on him but he is one of the gods, and these gods are all siblings and the Seal Sisters also very little info on them as gods, your next one is for ashe she is an ice archer and the name Avarosa is one of the 3 sisters of the past that ruled the lands and ashe's clan name there tribe after her as well as ashe is the spitting image of Avarosa. Tryndamere you heard his name with Aatrox the reason why aatrox wants him is for a new body as Tryndamere was stab by aatrox but his rage took some of the blood magic and all his wounds recover and repair itself to this Tryndamere is the perfect weapon/body as aatrox host always die and can't keep recovering so he is force to look for a new one but Tryndamere as long as he have rage in his heart he will always heal like an undying warrior. and he maybe the husband of ashe as the two where meant to marry to unite there 2 tribes For the lore Volibear and orrn dont get along well and ppl that worship voilbear start to turn into animals of the wild as volibear hate that man forgot how to use there instincts to survive, because Ornn gave them the tools to use weapons create homes etc the 2 fought and destroy one of the mountain orrn followers were, ppl that still follower volibear are in 2 different groups as they see volibear differently, the first is those that gave into volibear are turn into the ursine you see them in "The Call", and the image of a large bear in the sky that is volibear, the other are ppl that see him like the Wendigo looking skin they call him the Thousand Pierced Bear those are turn into abominations of animals like a wolf with 4 eyes 2 mouths bones popping from anywhere in the body etc. The reason why sejuani is facing volibear followers is because they are after Orrn's cauldron as volibear stole it from Ornn as anyone that eats from the cauldron can never worry about going hungry for a year as your belly will always be full, as living in the Freljord is not easy its a land of death no matter what you do. To answer about the Avarosans, Winter's Claw, and Frostguards they are the 3 main tribes of the Freljord, there leaders or queens are Ashe for the Avarosans, Sejuani for the Winter's Claw, and Lissanda for the Frostguards The Vorrijaard is what the land was called in the past but then it was rename by man into the Freljord and the woman in the video with braum is not sejuani that is someone different that is part of the Avarosans Valhir was his name in old times before it became the Volibear and Vresttrom is like his title for the coming storm as he controls thunder and lightning Hope all this info is not to overwhelming

Hes just walking around in those line you say lack power, it would be kind of annoying if he constantly raised his voice on such common lines. Loudness and power is usually reserved for attacking and ability use. Whenever it just says "move", thats what players often hear when they're in lane competing against an opponant which means it must fit a variety of senarios, like if you're losing and is getting zoned out, or if you're winning and zoning someone else out, so the lines must be subdued. When it says "Long walk" thats when you click back to lane after respawning or clicking to the other side of the map, thats alot of downtime so it allows for longer lines. And attack and ability lines are louder to emphasize the action. On newer champions and reworks all of this is carefully thought out. If you feel like something is a bit too reserved it usually has a purpose. The laughs all have the same tone because they're supposed to fit the same animation. You won't often hear them back to back since you can spam the animation but not the sound.

When I have time. I dont understand what youre trying to say. But if its that you think fiddlesticks base voice doesnt have eq and some chorus or modulation on it... thats wildly wrong. To be clear. The human does the voice. The post production adds the slight delay and airyness to the voice. Not insulting at all as its not taking anything away from the vocals. Its acknowledging that post production was infact done - even if ever so slightly.
