Fully agree that it has Wages of Sin vibes. Outstanding stuff! 🤘

Awesome reaction! Arch Enemy make extraordinary transitions, that's why we love them, right? I love Judas Priest and Iron Maiden but I also like Slayer, Megadeth and Death and Morbid Angel. When I first heard songs from Arch Enemy, I thought: This is what I need - sublimation of Metal - all in one. When you add to that a fantastic death metal voice from Alissa, which you can understand + her superb clean voice - you got one Heavy Metal perfection. Fantastic song! I expect that the album that will follow after this top single will also be great!

This had a Wages of Sin feel to it and I’m here for it. Nice to hear them a little more aggressive.

I first caught this one on Spotify, and I looped it for an hour. Very thrashy! Great pick, gents! Side note: I, too, am a huge Angela Gossow fan, and I feel like Alyssa is starting to favor her sound a bit here.

Wages of Sin is still my favorite album by them to date, and this song harkened me back to when I first listened to that album. Was definitely getting lots of vibes from it and it was relentless, just the way I like it. Can't wait to hear more! 🤘

as they took something from several bands and put them in one song........I heard a lot of Testament,Metallica and some Cradle of filth vocals.......

In my humble opinion, Arch Enemy can do no wrong. Love this song. Alissa White is the Goddess of metal. All bow down before her!! 🥰

Unfortunately Michael Ammott's best work was with Carcass. Then again Bill Steer carried most of the weight even then. ✌🏻🤘🏻

I hope that they do NOT, release 7 songs before an album drops!! I had an issue with that, with their last release

A lot of bands are doing that nowadays. Spoils the first time listening experience.

i like arch enemy but wish they would change it up some, lot of their songs sound the same,

To me this is the best use of her clean vocals. I’m not a fan of when they are forefront. I didn’t like them in The Agonist either. This is easily the best song they’ve done in a long time.

Decent, but on their level its really hard to write a bad song. Its just nothing extra. Alissa is an eye candy for sure, and her technical abilities are there but the delivery (feeling, themes, gestures) are always somewhat lacking for me. Im not really a "oh the good old days" kind of guy, but in their case, their prime was with Johan and maybe one album with Angela.

Man, I dunno... it feels like they just keep writing the same 3 songs over and over and over. Like, there's having "your sound" and then there's this. They're capable of so much more, we all know they are.

Maybe it's a grower, but it kinds seems like together, they're less than the sum of their parts. Everyone shined individually, but I didn't love the end result

I get the impression that after "War Eternal" , the band's performance and Alisa 's voice are getting better and better, the production too, but the songs... no. For me it 's a mess, and it is not saved by this Testament /early-Slayer riff in the middle sections. The guitar solos are super-fast... but that 's all. As if they are ripped of some warming-up of the guitarist and threw it in the track. In general, sounds like a few good ideas thrown together with no real connection between them. Just trying to impress the audience and to be "brutal".

The transition from the verse to the chorus was so drastic that it lost me a few times. Still, a decent track!
