Ah poor Wulfrik... Poor Norsca! I'm sure someone will mod it in and he will get something similar on the Norsca rework... Some day... Please CA Norsca has been languishing for so long... That aside, I love Arbaal, finally a cool lord to play Khorne with. No offense to Skarbrand but I just can't take him seriously. Skulltaker is fine too, I'll definitely try him out I want to see how far he can take Bloodletters, but there is just something about playing just some guy with an Axe and anger management issues that gives Arbaal an edge over the daemonic lords.

Wulfrik was actually created to replace Arbaal after too many players in tourney's complained about him being OP. What those complaining tend to forget, even today, is that Khorne stuff is SUPPOSED to be OP in melee, as a trade off from not having wizards or ranged. Looks like CA did the character justice, he looks and seems to play perfect to his lore. Actually he kind of DID pop in and out of wars for 1000s of years, just showing up to wreck everyones day then leaving. The exception being the siege of praag, and being Archaons top general in the end times.

I'm just happy to have a proper infantry lord for Khorne rather than a big clunky greater daemon. I hate how Skarbrand can never focus anything down and just stands there, walks around a bit, and does the occasional swing animation.

@@ardentword508 Khorne is strong, but they should actually be a bit stronger in Melee. NO unit from most factions should be able to 1v1 a khorne unit of the same tier. Its the reason they sacrifice magic/ranged, but CA is so obsessed with MP balance they often mess up the very spirit of the Chaos factions. This goes for marked Gors in the beastmen faction as well....Those are hand picked by their gods as the best of the best, and yet alot of the marked gors can be curb stomped by basic swordsmen.... And it seems this problem of misunderstood power-status is primarily a chaos issue. I don't really blame CA though....The problem are alot of the newer GW writers advising CA who joined up after the mess that was End Times, who don't understand the faction at all. Thats why Chaos has a whole different vibe and asthetic pre-and post end times. And not for the better. Someone has a Karl Franz vrs Arbaal video up, and Karl demolishes Arbaal w/80 percent of his health still intact. This should NEVER happen in any universe. Arbaal had 3D6 attacks per turn to Karls (I think ) 3....Karl should have been a puddle. This is the perfect example of the point I made.

It was very early access though, and I am told he is much better now, and more powerful....But it still shows that someone is advising CA who doesnt know Chaos as well as they should. After all, remember Archaon and his donkey of Chaos? Or the fact that marked characters lose there flying mounts once they take a mark when CA give mounts out like candy to every other faction (And yet marked Chaos characters have ALWAYS had access to manticore, chimera, and dragons) If the people advising them on what to do knew the faction, they would know that in the lore, chaos champions risk life and limb to bind to these creatures for life and wouldnt ditch them just because they were marked by their god of choice. So its lore breaking. Its also "tools" they have had since they first came on the scene, so it takes away from playstyles and strategies when the assets are already in the game. That SCREAMS lack of knowledge of this faction! Don't get me wrong....They DO get some stuff right and what they get right is incredible. But its important to speak up when they miss the mark, so to speak. CA DOES listen to the fans....The trick is getting our voices to them when they get stuff off....And they get ALOT off with chaos for some reason.....

6:00 on the bright side this might mean Norsca could be getting a rework soon. Seeing Wulfrik get this mechanic alongside something like Skulltakers's mechanic of being rewarded for taking down certain lords who's been winning a lot of battles would be pretty cool. Or at the very least it shouldn't be too hard for someone to mod these in for Wulfrik.

If I’m going to be honest, I initially didn’t care at all about Arbaal when he was announced, especially compared to my boy Skarbrand and Skulltaker, with him just being a regular Chaos Warrior. But after seeing this, and learning more about his playstyle and mechanics, I’m kinda onboard for him. Fielding him with Karanak, and a bunch of Khorne Warriors and Doggos sounds awesome!
