I'm pretty confident that's why they made Ogryns helplessly stupid for years. A moderately intelligent one makes Space Marines almost completely obsolete. Because why waste all the time and money making someone a beeg guy that still needs really expensive equipment when you could just give Thud over there a flak and a club and watch him bulldoze a trench? @@yamahadrag69 Ignoring intelligence, Ogryn strength is the only thing they have going - and it makes them bulky and slow. Space Marines are fucking unbelievably fast. There's an excerpt in the Siege of Terra where a human is standing near a Fist and World Eater charging into each other and he can't even process what happens, he's just suddenly cognizant of flying through the air like two trains collided at max speed right next to him. Some of their other OP biological bullshit is that they can operate in vacuum without a suit for some time, they can spit acid, they can smell like bloodhounds, they can fucking breath underwater, they can identify complex chemicals by tasting them, they can EAT BRAINS AND LEARN FROM IT, they can see in pitch black darkness, they're immune to all biological and chemical threats in the air or things they ingest unless it's specially engineered just for them, and they live practically forever and have functionally perfect memories so there's no upper limit on how experienced they can get. The Emperor didn't want strong bricks, he wanted fucking warriors that could fight and win anywhere.

Meat and money, two things Ogres love. And Golgfag has both in wheelbarrows. The contract system and movable camps are really fun to play around with as you can be a pure nomadic horde faction with no settlements at all while still having access to top tier units.

@@codybonds 55 charge bonus is a hell of a drug, plus the disorrient means they will get their value even against chosen, they won't win, but wardancers for example they do literally beat. they also dont have a knockdown animation so they always get their dps, they are pretty good. most multiplayer tournaments ban the RoR for that reason
